But it's realistic. They need BIG time changes. Massey has them at #207 in D-1. Yes, behind 70 FCS teams.

Massey has Harvard, URI, Dartmouth, Yale, UNH, Brown, and Maine higher than UMass.

UMass lost to Bryant. Bryant is 2-5, their only other win is against DII Bentley.

Bryant is winless in the CAA. Maine drubbed them and Maine is middling FCS at best.

It's hard to overstate how dramatically terrible UMass is.

Feels like the coach is trying… but the infrastructure and execution across the department is lacking (which would also help explain the basketball issues considering UMass would’ve been a bottom dweller in the A10, moving to the MAC where they’re probably middle of the pack might help get them some wins).

I have friends who are UMass alums and they are beside themselves over what has happened there. The whole department is in free fall. Just a mess. They thought they would at least be competitive in the MAC though they didn’t love the move. Not looking promising

I was surprised to see how old he is. He is the same age as Mora. While I feel like Mora has been around for decades…it feels like Cignetti is new to the coaching scene.

the cbssports.com standings are very strange. I don't think I've seen this happen before, but the conference standings are out of whack. this is only happening for the ACC standings. looks like fsu and unc are still cheating
