Week 5 - Dec 1 to 7

Nah, I think everyone knows betts can dominate college basketball. It is just a question of how her playing style translates to the pros.

And Oregon. They are a lot like Arizona state. Very unproven. Maybe they just aren’t very good? Looked outclassed in that first half. That’s for sure.

Wake Forest needs to be put on probation for today's loss. If the ACC headquarters were still in Greensboro, I'd drive over and plead my case in person.

Stomach virus going around NC State team. 3 players had IVs this past week. Rebounding machine Khamil Pierre is one of them; Coach Moore says she will play some today, if she can, but just started being able to eat solid food yesterday. Maddie Cox taking her place in the starting lineup.

Sounds like Qadence Samuels will be out today, too. We're already down Jernigan and it seems like Lorena Awou is in the process of leaving NC State; she is not shooting warmups with the team.

That's a shame. I thought she had a lot of potential going into this year. Liiked her size and physicality

I think it's a bit more than that. I've seen more than 1 poster say UCLA looks better without her on the floor.

One of Wes Moore's favorite sayings is "It may be an ugly baby, but it's our baby". NC State produced an ugly baby but persevered and managed to beat Seton Hall, 61-53. The Pirates opened up on fire but State made adjustments. The 4th quarter was a struggle for both teams. Seton Hall finished the game hitting only 1 of its final 12 shots.

Maddie Cox with an outstanding game today. Khamil Pierre, despite being sick, scored 11 points and grabbed 8 rebounds in 20 minutes of action.

I hate to think what NC State would be without Pierre.

Zoe Brooks and Zam Jones were a combined 7 of 32 from the floor.

Against Tennessee they did. I agree regarding that one particular game.

As a UConn fan, I bet UConn will look better against Tennessee when Jana isn’t on the floor.

Paging @triaddukefan --Alaska Anchorage from the mighty GNAC is going toe to toe w/ Oregon St. in Q3.

That's...not a good look for OSU.

I know the very successful coach left after the season to become coach at Fresno State. It will remain to be seen if UAA can maintain their high level of play

Southern beat Houston. 2 wins in a row against P4s.

Just goes to show you that a Jaguar is tougher than both a Cougar and a Wildcat

Min was up by NINE with 44 seconds to go. They lost.

This comes on the heels of being up by 5 with 20 seconds left in the first OT. Epic collapse.

And kudos to MD for never giving up — truly shocking

I root for Minnesota WBB as often as I root for brussel sprouts ... and see how they treat me

That Maryland Minnesota game was NUTS. A real clutch performance at the end by Maryland, matched by some real boneheaded choices by Minnesota.

Has Oregon beaten a team like UCLA since COVID? Doesn't seem like it. But I could easily have missed it.

This USC/Washington game is very ugly so far.
It's a pitcher's duel. Oops, wrong sport. Washington has been getting off to slow starts against bad teams lately, so not surprising they are doing it again. At least USC isn't running away from them.

Just realized this is Howell's re-introduction to her former team.

Washington with their real starting lineup for the first time all year. Either Ladine or Stines has been out of the starting lineup every previous game. I still think they need to start McGaughy rather than Grabovskaia, but Brynn has been playing starter minutes at least.
