Frankly I never thought she was much of a coach. What has she accomplished outside of McDonald on the team?
I share your insight.

In Barbes's previous game first year coach Winston Gandy coached circles around her in the only win the Lopes have this year. This year Grand Canyon is a mid-range Mountain West team and they pounded the fashionista squad 76 to 60. So the mid-range Mountain West squad takes apart an ACC team. Like their coach the ponies lacked grit and any Court sense as they get obliterated on the boards 54-29 - tellingly the Lopes had 18 offensive boards. The former dirty t coach had a team that missed 10 free throws and had only eight assists. Her team did not appear prepared to play. They did leave the cord however when the national anthem was played! But they did return for the pre-tip prayer so maybe the fashionista knew what was what?

The fashionista however does have the greatest agent of all time having signed a 5-year 5.85 million dollar contract in Dallas. Wondering if there is any administration, AD, president's office buyers regret in Dallas?

Okay, okay. But you still have to look at how bad Arizona had been prior to Barnes' arrival. She did turn them around. McDonald was a major part of that, but they were still much, much better after McDonald left than they had been during the Niya Butts era.

Michigan beat Syracuse 81-55. Game was over well before 2:00PM, so our tipoff should be right on time.

Wow it’s 5 games in and folks already passing judgment !
Never too early to admit a . . . .mistake. It took ASU 3 years to admit the Natasha Adair fiasco - so, while never to early to state the obvious.

Is ACC heading for a historically bad season? GA Tech got off to a good start but got crushed by Georgia in Q2 and now down big. Virginia Tech is struggling w/ James Madison...and JMU came into the game only 3-3. Clemson is losing to Furman. NC State is behind Rhode Island (maybe the Rams are actually good though). Florida St. trailing Illinois. Looking like another disastrous day in OOC for the conference.

I didn't notice, did ALL the talent leave after last year? I know Notre Dame got hit hard w/ graduation and transfers. Latson left Florida St. NC State lost several really good guards. But nothing made me think this is the kind of start they would collectively be off to.

Yes, that rivaled the Natasha Adair era - and ASU did cut the cord after 3 years. BUT . . . . the kitties are 5-0 since the fashionista decamped to the big D.

The wandering Lobos (5-1) ready to tip against Tech (6-0) at the Pit. Red Raiders draw first blood in what will be a great test for both teams. NM rocking teal unis.

While the 1-4 start is inexcusable, SMU has at least played a couple real teams in Kansas St. and Texas Tech (hey don't laugh they are 6-0 and beat Arkansas and Mississippi St). Arizona has played nobody so far. 1 common opponent, they both walloped Grambling St.

Is that a tribute to Native American culture? I remember many years ago Oregon St. men's team wore teal for a game and I couldn't figure out what was going on, heard that later.

Can Washington St. finally get a win? 0-5 start. Just getting going against Missouri.

Clemson righted the ship, but the rest are about to become Ls. Florida St. and GA Tech both got thumped.

Absolutely, SMU did lose to two losers - North Texas and GCU - real, real ugly, and the loss to KSU at home was, well, a real choke and absence of coaching/leadership and the current kitties are beating the losers sooooooooo.

I'm guessing that the dirty t is VERY happy with the coaching change and in the big D there may be more than a little heartburn, I would guess even that big Texas oil money expects more for 5.85 million - I think the kitties are paying the ex Buffalo coach 750,000 so better results for less money.

Inquiring minds wondering if the fashionista can improve on the ponies last year's 10-20 record. After seeing the ponies in "action" last week against GCU, I have my doubts.

NC State falls to Rhode Island, 68-63. The Rams scored the final 7 points of the game.

Wolfpack Women now 3-3, and have dropped two of its last three at home. Too many turnovers, (State had in the 4th quarter) and poor team chemistry plaguing the Wolfpack early in this season.

This is going to be deadly at seeding time

Hey at least Wake Forest is repping the ACC. Beat Western Carolina to improve to 6-0. Also have wins against Radford, Presbyterian, Hampton, Mercer and NC Central. 😄
