Looks like they pulled away in the 4th quarter. Big game for Agara--25/10. I knew their 3 point shooting couldn't keep up that torrid pace. Only 5-20 today.

Iowa looks like they have good balance and lots of options. Toledo might be rebuilding and has a new coach, but they've beaten Michigan the 2 previous years and have won the MAC 3 years in a row. Hawkeyes had a huge run in Q1 and never looked back.

Toledo is rebuilding. There's no "might be".

Boy this was a real ugly first quarter, resembles a rugby match - 13 fouls. In addition to Bascom ASU has Parkinson who's a Paris Courtney want to be. Bascom towers over everyone! So the Devils are huge and in an odd set of choices the Lopes. continue to try to get into the paint.

Lots of surprises. Very rare to see a Molly Miller team that's out hustled and really unorganized at the offensive end. One would expect a Big 12 team to have little trouble with a WAC team. So even the pre-ultimate bottom team in the Big 12 seems to be a position to take advantage of the preseason pick for the championship in the WAC.

So I made the decision to take advantage of the ESPN plus special offer $99 a year this morning. Got to see a thrilling double overtime win by St Mary's over UC SD, and now this matchup of Arizona teams. Glad I parted with a c note looks like it'll definitely be worth it. Actually Grand Canyon was playing physical in an effort to neutralize the height advantage of the Sun Devils. Lopes lead in fouls 16>14.


Grand Canyon back in the game outscoring the Sun Devils 14 to 4 in the third quarter to make it a one-point game.

Lopes senior point guard Trinity San Antonio and member of the Puerto Rican Olympic team played minimal minutes in the first half after picking up two quick fouls in the first quarter. She's really ignited the Lopes and we've got a game.

The announcers in pregame did mention CTT and the recent hard times as Adair struggles to avoid a third consecutive 20 loss season.

Under Adair the Sun Devils have been inept at defending the perimeter. In giving up 100 points in their last game to Arkansas State they allowed 13 for 30 from behind the arc. Through three quarters plus the Lopes are 8 for 20 from threeland

Ayoka Lee scored 28 points in 16 minutes against Creighton. Taking candy from a baby. 13-18 shooting, all pretty much point blank. K State won handily, it was never close after opening few minutes.

The announcers are now talking about what experience ASU will have in the Big 12. I think we all know what that experience will be.

As to the current state of the program ASU opens the 4th quarter by going scoreless during the first five minutes And finds themselves trailing by 9 with 2 minutes left in the game as they've scored three points so far in the fourth quarter. Wonder what the over-under is that the Devils can get within five before the whistle blows.

Georgia lost to Georgia St. The SEC is top heavy, it gets awfully soft in the middle and the bottom.

Massey had Georgia rated #41 with a 97% chance of winning over #260 Georgia St of the Sun Belt Conference.

Yikes. Utah had a double digit lead but is flirting with losing on the road against a bad Northwestern team. Maybe playing close to home for several of their players was a distraction.

Northwestern was 0-2 w/ losses to Illinois St. and Lehigh. Outscored Utah by 12 in the second half to take a 2 point win. I think that's gonna go down as a really bad loss for the Utes.
