Great comeback win by Duke.

Wins over Notre Dame and NC State make a strong case for a 2 seed. I'd say they're definitely ahead of LSU at this point. It may be close between Duke and TCU for the final 2 seed, and that's only if TCU wins today.
 
Doesn't feel real! This has been an excellent weekend for Duke basketball.

Ha. I was there in the nose bleeds. Red out numbered blue 10:1 probably but noticed the blues had all the seats closest to the court. Can’t mess with private school money.

Congrats on the championship. Well deserved.

If Texas can't find a three-point shot somewhere, they're not going to win either tournament.
 
I thought State gave out of gas.

Up 10 when James went down right before the half and then give up a 3 on a miscommunication on a switch at the buzzer.

Was all downhill after that. Duke got every loose ball, countless offensive rebounds and State settled for bad shots. Wes trusts his vets and is too tight on his rotations at times. Throughout the tournament and especially today he needed to get some fresh legs in there. Zam, Quigley and Awou can hold their own. You don’t have to wholesale sub but I thought the lack of subbing showed up in the second. No one had legs. Duke was more energetic. They were out and running and State was stagnant and dragging.

Strategically Lawson made a major adjustment from game one. No full court press this time. Duke guarded the inbounds but then backed way off and just picked up half court. In the first game they pressed up on the ball all game long and State punished them.

State also didn’t run enough offense during the 3rd. Way too much ISO and that’s fine generally but James didn’t have it going on today. They needed to run actions to get Hayes some looks on the wings. She’s the best shooter on the team and doesn’t need much space, but she does need help getting that look and State just didn’t make that a point of emphasis.

Disappointing for sure. But congrats Duke. They were the better team today. Hope this can be used as a wake up call and gets the Pack focused and coming out with intensity for 40 minutes a game. They’ve played around a little much imo ever since the ND game and today it bit them.

With SCs big win , I think Gamecocks get overall #2. With USC/UCLA winner as overall 1.

USC overall 3 if they lose.
Toss up if it’s between Tex and UCLA

Beavs win at the buzzer after blowing a double digit lead. The ratio of Orange to Green was 200 to one in the stands Also looks like Rueck shrank

Over at Thomas/Mack and the Boise State band is in the same league with Oregon State. In fact I think they might be better musicians but they sure don't have the dance moves that the Beav band busted

Ratio of Blue/Orange (a disturbing combo) to Grey is 10-1. Nevada is coach by former Sun Devil Amanda Levens and I wonder if this might be a must game for her.

Attending WCC, (quarterfinal at the 11:30 at Orleans), 3 MW at Thomas Mack (currently Boise over Amanda Leven's squad by 2 at the half) and, OF COURSE Grand Canyon and WAC later this week. 14 games in 4 days!( For under $100.00)

Orleans is 9 minutes down Tropicana from Thomas Mack

Neither Tex nor UCLA making a compelling case for the #3 overall.
 
Charlie said basically that South Carolina would be the #2 overall team if USC wins. So, why does he still have UConn has the number 2 in that region? Just too lazy to shift the teams around?

Too much talent in Westwood for this to be happening in Game 3 against the same team. They could still win the game, but it's not a good look.

He probably won't update the brackets until after the USC/UCLA and TCU/Baylor games. Who knows if he'll even consider a UConn win tomorrow.

He’s not going to update his entire bracket after every single game. Do you know how much work that is?

Complete reversal from one of the earlier games this year. This time USC had a total melt down in the 2nd half. Barely scored. Betts was much better in this game than the previous meeting.
 
Well USC made that a bit exciting in the closing seconds, but too much ground to make up.
 
UConn will be paired with either Texas or USC after the results today imo.
 
UCLA responded big time in that third quarter. The fourth quarter was an amazing display of defense!
