Tight down the stretch but TCU beat Baylor for the Big 12 championship.
 
Gonna be tough for High Point to come back. Senior PG Nakyah Terrell...heart and soul of the team went down with a knee injury in last nights game. Hate to see her career end like that. :(

It didn't look pretty early but.... I wouldn't have had an appetite if we had lost... that being said... instead of a Crispy Scallion Chicken and a Egg Roll.... I treated myself to a GIANT Grilled and Toasted Roast Beef sub from Jersey Mikes..... Mikes Way.. light lettuce... extra oil and vinegar... and mayo. With a Ice Cold Cheerwine

And I drowned my sorrows with a Carolina packer bright leaf hot dog and a sun drop. Thought about swinging by Stameys … but then remembered how overrated that place is.

1. I've never had a bright leaf dog... I don't know of any place around here that sells them

2. Sun Drop is great, but its strong. Will put some hair on your chest.

3. Well you know all BBQ places are closed on Sundays... :rolleyes: Stameys is fine...their problem is that they use red slaw instead of white.
 
So in the MW Tourney in Vegas Air Force and Utah State are engaged in a forgettable game that very much is reminiscent of our children in their first organized sports activity.

The Air Force pep band has firmly entrenched themselves in the last place as the entire group really looks miserable. They've only played one song and they're not engaged in anything resembling military posture as they're totally slumped and not paying attention to the game. Now this game certainly doesn't require paying attention but come on it's your classmates. In fact the Air Force band looks like their general required them to watch a 2 hour Natasha Adair leadership video.

The Utah State pep band on the other hand is singing "Take me out to the Ball game"while Air Force misses 2 free throws.

BTW Falcons 37-Aggies 26.

Befire yesterday's game.. Chattanooga was 20-0 in SoCon finals. :eek:
 
UTSA only favored by 5.5 over Rice. Rice's record is much worse, but only b/c they find ways to lose close games
 
Closing out week 18, with a look towards the remaining AQs this week, culminating in Selection Sunday.

SIL is traveling all next week and our grandkids are on spring break, so ... depending on my schedule, I'll see what makes sense in posting tourney game schedules during each round of the NCAAT. It's been a fun ride!

Pretty sure that Stonehill/Le Moyne aren't eligible for an NCAA bid as they are still transitioning to D-1.
That would make the FDU-ChicagoSt winner NCAA bound.

You are correct. Stonehill will be eligible for 2026-2027. From what I found, Le Moyne won’t be eligible until 2027-2028.
 
Oregon State now another tournament team on UConn resume. I believe that game was originally scheduled assuming the pre-decimation OSU team.

A very nice season long improvement project for Coach Rueck!

Louisville, Miss and Iowa St also improved over course of the season.

On a back-to-back-to-back, 4 South Florida players played all 40. Only one who didn't fouled out.

I feel for you. Conference tourneys are exciting, but I kind of hate seeing how often the best team doesn't end up getting the auto bid in 1 bid leagues. Makes the regular season kind of meaningless.

Fairfield dodged a bullet today, winning by 1 in the semis of their tourney.

Man it hurts because they stomped W&M by 25 points last week... and by 23 points earlier in the season... They led by 10 middle of the 3rd and got tight from all accounts. Of all my teams, A&T was the one I was most concerned with how their offense stagnates at time, and they have a tendency to let lesser teams keep it close.

I was gonna act a fool if all my teams made it........ ratchetness on the Boneyard will have to wait. :oops::(

Even for Q2-Q3 (25-25), so they had an 18pt lead into the 4th
Hawaii outscores them 20-2 in the 4th, so it's now tied with :10 sec to go

Wow UCSD hits a layup with 1 sec left to win. Almost blew at 41-18 half time lead.

Top seed Hawaii out in semis after furious comeback.
