Even before yesterday's semi-finals were completed, I didn't think UConn could jump up to a #1 seed. Their loss at Tennessee is the worst loss (non-Top 16 team) among Texas, South Carolina, USC, and UCLA, and they have very few Quad-1 wins compared to those 4 schools.
To be fair, USC's loss to Iowa is slightly worse than a loss to Tennessee. Of course, that's more than offset by their two wins over UCLA plus their win at UConn plus a whole slew of other Quad 1 wins.

Forgot about that loss. Thanks.

I guess the committee could put emphasis on whatever they choose at the final moment. USC's two wins over UCLA (who beat South Carolina) are pretty recent; chance to beat them again.

In the end, the number of Quad 1 wins will be what keeps UConn from being a #1 seed.

Right. Once their seed-line is assigned, they won't be placed in a region with conference schools Texas and South Carolina. Seems like LSU was "bumped" recently from like 9 to 10 to avoid being in the same region with South Carolina. Now they have 2 conference schools who will be #1 seeds and they will be impacted again, especially with Oklahoma and Kentucky being Top 16 seeds, and Ole Miss and Alabama potentially being Top 16 seeds.
I thought they were probably set after yesterday but today left no doubt.

If Texas wins tomorrow, I'm confident they get the overall 1 seed regardless of who wins the Big 10.

If South Carolina wins tomorrow, will be very interesting to see what the committee does with them. Most likely at overall 2 or 3, but who knows.
If UCLA lose, they d

Lots of folks want to post about UConn's impressive with at South Carolina as to why they could jump the Gamecocks, but that's just one game. Just like South Carolina's impressive win over Texas in Columbia. And, just like UConn's unimpressive loss at Tennessee.
Southie, the funny thing is a lot of the casual fans and even the commentators act like the first meeting didn't happen between Texas and South Carolina. Maybe because the second game was on ABC and the first game was on the SEC Network. People on twitter was arguing why there is a coin flip when Texas beat SC. This commentator mentioned during the game that Texas won the head-to-head.

Anyone else feel like the 1 seeds are set? I don't think a loss by UCLA, USC, Texas or South Carolina will move the needle. I think we're really just wondering what will be the arrangement of the teams when it is all said and done. The only other contender is UConn. They could potentially move to the one line if Texas blows out South Carolina. Other than that, I don't think UConn has much of a prayer of moving up.
Yeah, I am thinking that the #1 Seeds are locked in; Texas, South Carolina, USC, and UCLA. The bigger debate will be the overall #1 team going into the tournament. I know many of our UConn fans will make a case of why we should be a #1 Seed and they would probably be legit but I am good with us being that #2 Seed spot. One of those #1 teams will get knocked out early in the tournament. I just don't want it to be us.

There are two games with bubble significance today. Seton Hall, currently in Creme's Next Four Out, could move up by beating Creighton. Longshot still but that'd be good win. Oral Roberts could steal South Dakota State's AQ. I'd imagine this point spread will be big though. Not sure how consequential Saint Joseph's vs George Mason is. Is it plausible A10 could be a 3-bid league? I don't think so.

I think the Ivy League possibly being a 3 bid league is crazy.
One will likely be eliminated in the 2-3 seed matchup (similar to the effective 12-13 seed elimination game between Washington and Minnesota).

15 minutes to tip in the Orleans arena as Oregon State takes on San Francisco. Last year the Lumberjacks laid 92 on San Francisco on the road. So I suppose if I have to root I'll cheer for the Dons

Beavers brought a great pep band they're really rocking and rolling. Not only playing but singing and dancing very talented group.

Can warm up the Dons had a girl who dunked

Up in Boise Montana State is pitching a shutout against Northern colorado. I fear no one's going to touch the Cats as they are on the way to the tourney title to match their regular season crown.

NAU faces off against Sac State a team they beat by 5 on the road and 15 at home.
