How to lose a 2seed in three days? Maybe even a 3 seed.
They were a 3 seed, I don't think they'll be a 4 seed after this week.

I'm wondering who we move ahead of after this week? Virginia, Miami, St. Mary's/Zags loser, Tennessee?

And...MSU lost a huge lead to Iowa on 5 3's with a minute to go. Imagine??? It'd be January 6th at Gampel
Which of those 3 losses is the worst way to lose?

1) 50ft buzzer beater by rival

2) Blowing a 25 point game over the course of an entire half against your rival

3) Blowing a 13 point lead with 1 minute to go

@aburks41 (I'd quote your post but my phone all of a sudden won't let me do normal things)

In answer: I'd say the heave hurts the most. But I think that these type of losses happening to teams with respected coaches is the best thing for our perspective on Dan Hurley

#1 and #3 feel fluky and I'd get over them faster.

#2 would have major repercussions in that rivalry. No lead would feel safe and a big time clutch/choke narrative in place every time you play.

3 seems like a complete collapse for no excusable reason. But I didn't see the game to know what actually happened.

Arizona fans do NOT like Bobby Hurley from what I saw. I guess it's easy to be upset when you lose like that though

Really need Indiana to lose to Purdue here, else it seems the committee wouldn’t allow us to jump then barring their total collapse

Jalen Hood-Schifino has been thriving with Xavier Johnson out, but he's having his coming out party tonight.

Low key huge lose that’s good for UConn.

Today should put Creighton and Miami solidly behind UConn for seeding.
I don't know how Creighton is in it at all. 18-11

This Purdue/Indiana game is the Fox Primetime game for this week, and we've got the timeslot against Nova next weekend. Likely means we get Gus Johnson for that one too.

Oats better make sure he never loses this gig at Bama, I can't see anyone, anywhere consider giving him a job after this.

It is also stunning on a criminal level what the school is willing to overlook. The attorney's statement tells the public that there is sufficient plausible deniability for the school to let him play. While they may not be able to publicly divulge information on this, they could have (and should have) privately asked for far more detail on what happened beyond the brief, carefully crafted statement.

This is without question a situation where the school's stance (from day one) should have been "we aren't letting you play again until we are convinced your involvement was so far removed from this that we can in clear conscience let you play".
Are you kidding me they are lining up to give Pitino a job!

We got beat by Un ranked teams and it hurt us, now Virginia goes down to unranked NC. They should bounce out of the top 10, right?

Just shows how open it is this year.

1-2 seeds from major conferences all have 4-5 losses.

Seeds 3-5 have 6-9, Creighton just dropped their last two to bring them to 11. Probably a 6-8 seed now.

I say that it’s open but it also has some pretty sharp cliffs where it’s hard to drop too far.

Like the top 8 seeds were all pretty tight then a gap then seeds 9 to almost 20 or so then almost 20-28 or so. Or at least that was before this week. It’s probably shifted a bitI’d have to look closer.

I mean I feel comfortable dropping UVA like a rock because of two losses because they are two unranked and outside the bubble teams before today and there isn’t a huge difference btw where they were and where UConn was seven days ago. That difference flipped, IMO.
