Week 16 - Feb 16 to 22

She played 16 min because she was in foul trouble. All SEC schools do is flop their post and officials call it everytime. Thanks for you input even though you didn't watch the game.
Funny thing, Pac 12 teams used to do the same thing. She was always battling foul trouble at Oregon St. as well. She still managed to be productive. This wasn't a one off. I look at their box scores fairly regularly, and it's not unusual for her to have the least number of FGA among the starters, despite being by far the most efficient.

The coaching staff can't be faulted for the players missing 54 straight free throws in the 4th quarter.
No, but they can be faulted for not calling a time out to regroup the team while LSU reeled off 13 straight points and took a 3 point lead. Also the superb coaching staff might have got the offense to move a little bit instead of standing still for the first 28 seconds of the shot clock of each of their wasted possessions.

You steered us wrong against upper carolina

I steered myself wrong as well 😢

So...Carolina came back to win in OT. Crickets in here. I'm sure someone in the Piedmont Triangle area is stewing about that right now, but at least another game is going well for that poster.

Naw. The way the standings are, there is a good chance that they will finish as the #3 seed in the ACC tournament. Let them fight it out with Louisville in the semis.

VaTech leads UNC in the 3rd

The Heels have gotta be one of the most disappointing teams of the year.

I think you meant Stanford .... boy was I wrong about them. I thought they would finish 4th in the conference.

MissSt with a baaaad loss to Florida. Bulldogettes were already on the bubble ...

Very bad loss. Cost me a Texas Roadhouse Sunday afternoon meal. 😡

Add Nebraska and Ole Miss to the list of teams who forgot to play 4 quarters instead of 3 tonight.
Ole Miss has had this problem throughout the season when you look at their head scratching losses. This isn't surprising to me.

Ole Miss really isn’t a good shooting team. 3 point %, they are second from bottom in the conference. Field goal %, they are 12th. And that has been their legacy with coach Yo. They often don’t put together a full game. They tend to have long droughts. But they play defense usually and force other teams to play their style. Probably strong contenders to make a sweet 16/elite 8 run again.

LSU closes 19-1 to come back against Ole Miss

Ole Miss missed approximately 742 shots and 174 free throws in the 4th quarter

And man if you miss a shot against LSU, you need to get back on D -- when they can run, they are very very fast and effective

That's one of the more stunning collapses I've ever seen. They had a 13 point lead, not exactly comfortable but they were hitting 46 per cent from the field in the first three quarters. Then they not only went 0 for 16 in the fourth quarter, they got to the line and missed free throw after free throw after free-throw. I wouldn't have believed it if I didn't see it with my own eyes.

The free throw issue happened towards the end of the fourth. The only points they scored in the 4th came from the free throw line.

Had to find a replay on YouTube to rewatch the fourth quarter. Ole Miss looked gassed based on how their shots were falling. Could the fact that they had to play with a day's rest after their game against Tennessee on Tuesday be part of it? I'd prefer not to think so, as this is the type of schedule they'll be dealing with during the SEC tournament and March Madness.

IMO I feel it did. Quite the gauntlet playing 4 games in 8 days. Only one day of “rest” to prepare for a team like LSU who had 4 days since the SC game. In SECT all teams will be playing day after day (byes the one difference), so I don’t think that comparison is fair.

Credit to OM to take it to LSU for 3 Q’s. Would have been nice to see them win and take advantage of that packed house - possibly gain themselves some fan base.

Any premonitions about USC @ tOSU? Is an upset even remotely possible here?

Come on.....we're talking the BIG10 middle tier teams. As Kevin Garnett once said. 😉

Miami (OH) edged Ball St. by 4 and may have all but wrapped up the MAC regular season title.

At worst North Dakota St. will win a share of the Summit crown. 2 games up on South Dakota St. with 2 games to play. Those 2 play each other next. They pulled away from South Dakota today to win by 13 and eliminated one of their competitors from the race.

edit--as far as I know South Dakota or South Dakota St. have won that conference for as long as it has existed, so congrats to the Bizon

Manhattan won. They are showing some signs of life and should qualify for the conference tournament at least.

I check in on them occasionally since Hana Muhl is there.

Geez, Brooklyn Meyer went off for 44 the other night, Avery Koenen had 30/14/5 today. Summit Player of the Year is competitive this year.

Sunday Special. Thank me later. The Private school parlay. Wake Forest, Duke, Miami, Syracuse, Stanford, and Vanderbilt on the Moneyline.

If you want to eat good in the neighborhood parlay.. Duke and TAMU on the moneyline. the Lady Vols on the moneyline plus the over.

Trust me this time

With your track record, I'd think you would quit betting when food is on the line.

Come on man.

Watching this Louisville - UVA game. Roberts for Louisville went down in the first quarter, you could hear her in agony laying down on the court. Couldn't put any pressure on left leg and had to be helped off the court straight to the locker room. Cardinals are in big trouble

That insight helps to explain things. Just saw the half time score.

Normally I wouldn’t care if UConn got the overall 1 or not … but this year …. Don’t want a possible semifinal with UCLA or SoCar, both of whom are looking very formidable.

Iowa has absolutely stymied Michigan today. Wolverines might not crack 50 points. I think I need to reevaluate how I see the Hawkeyes, they really have changed their persona as far as defense.

Heiden is nice. Michigan has no answer for her.

When I said I could see them being considered a top 10 team, I remember you panning it. Could we tie this to your jinx tendency? 😉
