Week 16 - Feb 16 to 22

Texas Tech put themselves back into the B12 title race with tonight's performance.

Baylor got swept by TT!

I think people need to start talking about Minnesota. They forced their way into the upper third of the B1G. That didn't seem likely a month ago or so.

Last team to beat them before they reeled off 9 W's in a row...Washington. Thanks Gophers, that's turned into a pretty high quality win for the Huskies.

You know they wish they hadn't fallen apart against Maryland earlier in the season.

cough cough

Been talking about them since the start of the season. Granted the start of the season wasn't great, had a feeling they could be a dark horse in the conference. That's the beauty of the middle of the BIG10. Any of these teams get into a groove at the right time....they can cause chaos baby! 😉

The Rhode Island loss just turned the a10 into a one bid league. Great news for the Stanford’s and Nebraska’s of the world.
Both teams are well below 0.500 in their respective conferences and won't finish above 0.500. Barring a miracle run to finish out their seasons, they won't be dancing this season.

I thought the same. But surprisingly, Charlie still had Nebraska as an 11 seed in the latest bracketology.

He has Stanford as one of the first four out.

Edit: it just showcases how weak the bubble is. Any time people talk about expanding the tournament… I think they are nuts. I would drop back down to 64 if it were up to me.

He made the bracket when Nebraska's NET was 25 and mentioned that only one team has failed to make the tournament with a better NET, which was Oregon 2022-23 (NET 19). Nebraska's NET is now 29 and could continue to drop if they don't pick up a game in the PNW. Two seasons ago, Penn State failed to make the tournament with a NET of 27.

"The bubble is weak" doesn't mean that Nebraska has to be there. They're 2-8 in their last 10 games, 0-9 against Q1 competition, and have looked weak in just about all of their recent losses (they were getting pounded at home by Iowa until they did a little window dressing at the end). There are at least five bubble teams that can replace Nebraska. The B1G doesn't need 12 teams. Find some ACC or Big 12 team to replace Nebraska.

Friendly betting advice for tonight. Parlay... Duke on the moneyline, the under, and State covering the spread. Trust me, I probably won't steer you wrong.

The consequence of the PAC 12 implosion. The bids they used to get are spread out amongst the conferences.

I think there will be lots of good SEC games tonight.

Oklahoma @ Georgia: Can Georgia get another top 25 upset? It's going to be Beers size vs Georgia's physicality that will determine this one. If Georgia can frustrate Oklahoma's offense, this could be a close game.

LSU @ Ole Miss: Similar story to above. Can anyone at LSU stop Cotie McMahon? Will LSU cave under Ole Miss's physicality or will LSU's speed and guard play be too much for Ole Miss to handle?

I'd counter with will Ole Miss bring their physicality? It can disappear at the oddest times from what I've watched this season.

VaTech leads UNC in the 3rd

The Heels have gotta be one of the most disappointing teams of the year.

TAMU stinks so LVs will eventually get it together, but amusing.
They reeled them most of the way in before halftime, but the deficit has grown significantly again in Q3.

I haven't been paying attention to seeding projections. I sure hope nobody has given any consideration to the Vols being a top 4 seed. They shouldn't be.

They were in the 5 zone before today. But a loss here ... plus they finish with Okla - LSU - Vandy.

So following up on the bad performance last time, TN was ready to go right? TAMU started off 10-0. Now 31-23 after one.

No, no they aren’t

They did. I’m guessing beating UConn got that extension. It clearly looks like a bad more watching vs TAM
It's her 2nd season. Getting rid of her now would be nutz. Cornhusker-level delusion.

I can almost understand overreacting to the result of a single game during a football schedule, but basketball when you are playing 30-35 games? Just silly.
