Week 14 - Feb 5 to 11

Seemed like Iowa deliberately went away from Clark in Q4 to preserve the record ...
Yeah, she seemed kind of passive. Really dumb, it's gonna cost them the game it looks like.

82-79 Nebraska wins.

Iowa had a couple looks from 3 at the end but wouldn't go in.

Clark held scoreless in Q4, I wonder if that's ever happened in her career? Needs 8 to break the record. Just missed a triple double too.

27-10 in Q4., huge meltdown by the Hawkeyes.

I thought this myself. Just proved that if you can take Clark out of the game, you can beat Iowa. No way should they have lost this game.

Something about seeing the big red mascot in the middle of the celebration scrum at midcourt.

Good balance for the Huskers, good games for Shelley, Markowski, Potts, Nissley.

Gotta think this W goes a long way toward putting Nebraska on the right side of the bubble.

Really a piss-poor 4th quarter from Iowa. Too many quick shots while nursing a lead. Nebraska would not be denied. Amy Williams outcoached Lisa Bluder in that 4th quarter.

I've seen enough..I'll give Lawson one more year. .. lemme log off before I get banned.

There I go again. After a 14 point 3rd quarter, she's scoreless in Q4 and has hardly gotten any shots up. A 13 point lead has dwindled to 2.
So Iowa fans can blame you for this happening? ;)

So right now we have Syracuse and Nebraska pulling off upsets. Hopefully Oregon St can hang on for the win as well.

UConn struggling against SCar but I think this was expected. :(

Once again, Monday will be interesting.

All across the country, some road teams are having brutal 4th quarters in games they had firmly under control.

.-.
Duke with a 14 pt comeback to briefly take the lead. I hope our pal Triad is doing ok.

Oregon St. was up at least as much as 22 at one point, it's down to 7. But only 30 seconds left so I don't think they can manage to give it away.

Too bad OreSt wont get credit for their dominance today. Buffs outscore 21-5 in the 4th to make the loss a more respectable 65-59.

Yeah that got scary. Still Beavs have to be team of the week, road wins @ Utah and @ Colorado. They better be jumping a bunch of spots in the polls.

.-.
as of right now, teams ranked 2, 3, and 4 all lost this week. And #5 Ohio St is about to tip off at Mich St, which will not be easy.

Iowa deserved the loss—they stopped executing and looking for Clark to start the 4th, I think they were overly concerned about the record and it came back to bite them. Clark went cold, Nebraska got momentum and they couldn’t recover. She’ll get the record at home now but that’s a bad loss and it was very avoidable

I haven't done an actual tally, but it seems the MAC is coming out quite a bit on the plus side of the MAC-Sun Belt Challenge.

.-.
Where do you rank Oregon State?

Three losses (all on the road to top-10 teams) and four ranked wins (including two top-5 wins over Colorado).

Penn St. is bucking the trend, started their meltdown right after halftime. 17-2 midway thru Q3 and a 14 point lead has turned into a deficit against Wisconsin.
