Week 14 - Feb 5 to 11

LSU wins the 3rd qtr 30-9.
Stan up 13-2 in the 4th.

I believe one of the tiger CFB teams -- perhaps LSU -- used to occasionally bring a live tiger to the games.
They are not permitted to do so anymore.

I recall reading that NC State used to have a real wolf... not sure if they brought him to games though

Ohio St. has been blowing Michigan St.'s doors off early and often, no drama at all in that one.

edit--although tOSU is continuing today's tend of the road team getting outscored significantly in Q4, but it won't matter

Okay, here's a really specific topic--best pair of Fr. on the same team with the same last name, who are not related, and are from 2 different countries. I nominate Eleonora and Jenna Villa of Washington St., from Italy and USA. I'm also gonna go out on a limb and guess they are the only such pair in wcbb.
The interesting twist is that Eleonora is a twin. Her twin, Matilde, is the fourth leading scorer on a pro team with Awak Kuier, Jessica Shepard, Anna Makurat, and a few other solid former college players.

I know of a team that should be there ahead of Creighton, Princeton, and UNLV. Not gonna name any names but its campus is Collegiate Gothic and has good bbq and cheap cigarettes around the corner. No, not talking about Rhodes College in Memphis.

I know of a team that lost to Miami two weeks ago. Not gonna name any names but its colors are blue & white. No, not talking about Kentucky.

Back from family dinner during the other "big" game. Nine teams lost this week with Louisville x2. See you on the other side tomorrow after the AP 25 is released, so I can post the weekly slate.

What does matter is Penn State lost an opportunity to gain ground on Michigan State in conference standings today with their loss to Wisconsin.

Yeah but Penn St. were trend setters among road teams today, they lost the game in Q3 by getting outscored 24-7.

That game was interesting the whole way through because OSU had three starters (McMahon picked up three in the first quarter, one was a tech after receiving a foul call, they never really explained what happened...assumed she said something to the ref's but that was really the most visibly calm McMahon has been post a foul call she didn't agree with.) on the bench with three fouls with about 5 minutes left in the first half, but OSU still pulled ahead by 22 points. So, there was SOME drama haha. Then in the second half of the fourth quarter when OSU sat their starters, MSU made a run and OSU's offense stopped.

Oregon St is 6 games into what could have been a devastating 8 game swing:
@ Stanford L
vs CO W
vs Utah W
@ Oregon W
@ Utah W
@ CO W
vs UCLA
vs USC

Instead they are thus far 5-1. Even if they split the home series with USC and UCLA you'd have to call this a rousing success.

Their only losses of the season are on the road to USC (by 2), to UCLA (by 11) and to Stanford (by 9). They play all 3 of those teams at home in their final 6 games.

I guess what I'm saying is...Oregon St could easily be a top 2 seed in the NCAA tournament by the time March rolls around.

If you’re not supposed to play music during free throws and Neb did, I’d be unhappy too.
Is it actually against the rules? Or is it just one of those unspoken rules?
