Week 13 - Jan 27 to Feb 2

Vandy is going to have a hard time scoring 53 points as a team today. 18 approaching halftime. Blakes should've saved a bit of that magic from the other day.

Uh no as a one-time NE fan, there are a bunch of reasons to dislike Brady. Even Mahomes to some extent.
And Manning went to that school, but seems to be ok in spite of it.

I like Clark, but she has some nasty supporters.
Reasons based on the perspective of the person. That's human nature. Others won't care including NE fans.

i thought you were saying that there was no good reason to dislike those people

I would still think usc is ahead of us in the race for a one seed.

USC should drop below LSU/Texas though. I'd put Texas as the last #4, LSU #5, USC #6 and UCONN as #7.

Creighton survived. It looked like providence had them on the ropes there for a little while.

Far from it. In some cases people don't like people for reasons that make no sense to anyone regardless of what facts are presented. That's their perspective and they're entitled to it.

Heck, we see it on the board when debating topics. That's human nature in my opinion.

Congrats to Iowa. I think Olsen has had a bit of an up and down season, but her talents were fully on display today.
Yes that was Olson's best game for Iowa. (Unless that was Clark out there in one of those Mission Impossible masks)

Iowa let USC back in the game, but didn't fold. Olson actually carried them down the stretch (28 4 & 4) and whole team played well. Easily their most complete game.

Maybe this gives them a lift for some of their tough remaining games. .500 down the stretch and a Big10 tourney game win will still be enough to scrape into ncaa in '25. Of course better is better.

Nice atmosphere and TV for recruiting. Post game Meal is CC's treat.:D

I always thought UConn handled Olsen pretty well. I wouldn’t have expected her to be capable of dropping 28 against USC and frankly outplaying Juju.

Juju is often feast or famine in these games, she takes a LOT of shots and usually at an inefficient clip against decent teams.

Maryland also lost to unranked Illinonis--they're a shell of themselves without Sellers in the lineup. Really tough break after a great start to the season.
Pretty sure Sellers played today.

Being frank, Olson was struggling against better Power 4 teams, and looking like an All-American against weaker opponents. In tight games she was also fumbling away wins down the stretch. (All losses within 10 pts)

Today she completely flipped script in an enormous game!

Hopefully, this gives Olson and team more confidence for upcoming games.

Sellers started and played 25 minutes today. 14 points on almost 50% shooting, so she was able to contribute.
Is Amari a full time starter now? She started but only played 6 minutes.
And Saylor came off the bench but played 33 minutes, she was kinda average in the Box Score.

Louisville lost to ND today, which is expected (they have to play them again--YIKES!). But much has been made of their 8-2 (now 8-3) ACC record. Fool's gold. Looking at their remaining schedule, they're going to struggle to finish out strong because it's so backloaded. It's unlikely that they lose out (they could, given what they have left), but they may only win two more ACC games. Not a good look heading into March.

Quite the adventure in the B1G today. I didn’t think to set up the DVR though. I’ll have to content myself with highlights.

I don't watch Maryland enough to know about their rotation.

I doubt DeBerry is a starter. She started against UCLA because of her height, but played little the following game. Brenda may be trying different combinations -- didnt they just lose a player for the season? For the year AD has only played more than 14 minutes once.

She has averaged 9 mins/game in 14 games. But given that the other 8 games were likely 0 min (ie, she wasnt injured or "out"), then she's averaged 6 mins/game.
