Week 12 - Jan 22 to 28

Anyone watched Penn State since Owusu has come back? They got off to a great start this season, dropped a couple but then from box score watching look scary again. They are up 25+ vs Maryland. But they have 6 players averaging double figures.. and once again from box score watching it seems they are trying different starting lineups.

Florida beat Texas A&M by 12. That figures. Gators had been going nowhere and A&M had been winning some games.

Terps in big trouble 12-8 including 2-8 vs quad 1
Remaing games include vs Iowa, Ind 2x, oh St, Penn st
Headed towards 16-13
Is that even Tourney worthy? Can you imagine the Terps missing the cut? That would be really strange.

Miami leads Duke 48-37, going to the 4th.

Crazy ACC.

Since missing a couple games, it appears that Cameron Brink has decided to grab EVERY rebound. I think she had 16 in the previous game, today she has 19 w/ about 15 minutes of game clock left.

All kinds of zaniness going on in the Pac 12 today, although several of the games are only at halftime so it's too early to declare anything. Not that I haven't jumped the gun plenty of times before.

4 min to go in 1st half and Vandy only down 29-25

Then SC scored 5 straight to likrly close the door, but staying close for 16 mins ain’t shabby
Milaysia throwing bricks to keep Vandy close

Speaking of curb stomping...and coaches who maybe should hang it up: Indiana beat Northwestern 100-59.

Villanova curb stomped DePaul 95-64. It might be about time for Bruno to call it a career. They are down trending rapidly. And he's 73.

To be fair to Bruno, he lost his 2 best players from last to the portal last year. Kinda hard to replace that right away

Before conference play started, I thought Arizona St. had a legit shot to go winless. Boy was I wrong. Just beat Cal, now 2-7. That's still last, but much exceeding expectations and they are in a position where they could actually jump ahead of a few other teams.

Creighton struggled to defeat Seton Hall, 57-49.
Seton Hall scored 6 points in the 4th, 4 of them in the last 25 seconds.
Creighton scored 10 in the 4th.

Baylor over Oklahoma St. 72-60. They needed a W.

I think Brink sat out the 4th quarter, then Iriafen took over. 46 pts/28 reb combined for that duo, after 47/30 the previous game. Stanford cruised past Arizona 96-64.

Louisville and NC State no trouble getting past Pitt and Boston College.

Looks like Duke rallied late but not enough, lost to Miami. They just can't seem to get on any kind of streak. 1 or 2 good games, then they lose again.
