Week 12 - Jan 22 to 28

A big matchup in the ACC... Syracuse hosts VPI at Noon (EST)

Duke goes down to Miami. I'm REALLY interested in the postgame hand slap line as Miami has two ex-blue devils on the roster... they both might be starting at this point. I predicted in early January that we would lose this game... so I dont wanna hear any flack in case I''m right

Best game of day might be Utah at Oregon St at 3pm?

Utah on 4 game winning streak that includes victories over USC and UCLA.
Oregon St just had their best win of season over CO. Both tied for 4th in Pac 12 at 5-3.

That has got to be close to a record attendance for Syracuse.
It’s one of the fullest I’ve ever seen. Maybe the S16 (?) game back in like 2018 against SDSU might have had a bigger number. Correction, Round 2 game against SDSU in 2019. That attendance was 2,474.

VT completely controlling the game right now.

Oh, and btw Coach FLJ has been yelling and flailing her arms on the sidelines. Since that apparently people on the BY now care about the “optics” of things like that.

VT looked half asleep in Q2. They’re lucky to still be up going into the break.

At this point, I genuinely feel like Syracuse could dominate against UConn. And it is not a good feeling. :(

UNC lead Virginia by as many as 13 but UVA has tied it up...3:39 left 2Q.

Virginia leads UNC, 37-34, at halftime.

Virginia coming off an inexcusable loss to Pitt on Thursday.

Kitley is having a horrible offensive game against 'Cuse, 1 for 11 halfway through the 3rd quarter.

Some poor shooting from both Cuse and VT this quarter. At one point VT had 4 second chance opportunities and couldn’t put it away. Then they draw the foul and miss both shots.

That has got to be close to a record attendance for Syracuse.
As of 2018, Cuse had 4 games over 5000. I’ve found a few others

1) 11.0k 2/19/17 v ND
2) 9.1k 12/21/23 v St Francis PA
3) 8.1k 1/21/18 v Pitt
4) 7.6k 2/21/19 v ND
5) 6.1k 12/17/18 v Niagara
6) 5.1k 11/20/17 v Hartford

Lots of ACC teams going 1-1 by winning the harder game and losing the easier one.

Figures. Cuse sweeps ND but then loses to lower ranked VT. I was at the game and VT looked great at times but average for most of the game.

Kiltey was bad. VT can't afford to have off nights from her or Amoore in general

I have to laugh whenever game announcers discuss how a team is physical, not in a "dirty way", but their opponents will certainly feel it after the game.
That translates to me as one team can get away with fouling, as long as it's not "dirty."

Oh poo...UNC going to fall to Virginia.

But haven’t you heard — UConn is 3 in NET??
