Week 12 - Jan 22 to 28

South Carolina played very well but I’m gonna chalk this up to LSU doing a lot of dumb things that added up. LSU should have won but they choked.

I’m not shocked by Van Lith’s performance.

No one is beating Sc this year. Inside and outside game is deadly. That Uconn game is going to be so ugly. I can see uconn losing by 20+ pts.

Kim at the end of games has been suspect lately.

There was a post questioning if the game was close, who would be the better coach. I guess that person didn’t watch the auburn game

First time the Orange have ever swept the Irish. Watch out ACC!

Of course, I don’t doubt that a different Notre Dame team will show up to play UConn. But I think UConn should be able to handle them.

ND needs wings

M. Williams picked a bad time to go 1-10 from 3 and 5-18 overall. I see some other LSU players getting blamed, but brutal shooting from 1 player didn't help.

Great game. LSU should be encouraged. They were right there until Reese got in foul trouble. I thought she outplayed Cardoso (though Cardoso did her thing in the second half).
South Carolina is incredible, really. It's like they really don't need a great game from anyone to win. Don't get me wrong Kitts was great, and Fulwiley was great in her minutes but I didn't think overall they played a great game. But they still won. Wish they played twice a year, but hopefully we'll see it in the sec championship.

Shocked at how close that game ended up being. LSU is better than I realized and South Carolina not quite as good.

A funny thing happened on the way to that 25 point blowout you predicted. But alas the good news is SC probably not the unbeatable juggernaut a lot of people (Besides yourself) saw. I'm glad it was a good game. Neither team great from the FT line. Starters from both teams in double figures. That makes for a good game. Van Lith put up some numbers but she still makes big mistakes.

If they play again, SC by 20.

LSU gave its best shot, outrebounded SC & shutdown Cardozo for a 1/2 plus had energized crowd, and they still couldn’t do it.

Those LSU lapses at the end of q1 and q2 were critical.

Huge confidence boost for SC

I really don't understand how it was assumed the South Carolina was going to run away with it. The team is good, but they're not infallible. They've had games this season where they should have won handily.

LSU's lack of depth is their weak spot. Losing one of their key players for the season didn't help matters. This will be their challenge all season. Del Rosario did much better than expected tonight. They're going to need more of that from her.

I thought LSU got tired and it led to mistakes. The thing about this SC team is they can send wave after wave of players and they are all tall or fast and all of them are physical. Plus now that they have legit 3pt shooters you can't just sag off and dare them to shoot.

Overall though a very entertaining, well-played game by both teams (minus the FT shooting). M. Williams is great, and will be continue to be great, but she just had one of those games where she couldn't get anything to fall.

And I though Lobo was providing excellent insight the entire game. I believe it was Reese's 3rd foul where Lobo was talking about it was the guard's fault for getting it to her too late, and when they interviewed Mulkey at the beginning of the 4th, she said the exact same thing.

if you look at the box for SCar everyone kind of had a good game. it was like they were doing it in shifts. Stressful.

SC was 47.5 from field, 35% ended up winning the rebounding battle and maybe even the ORebounds. Also FTs and TOS. Weirdest box to see after watching something.

i guess lsu just ran out of gas and SC found composure.

This was a game where it was clear that Van Lith is not a PG. Some very costly mistakes. Reece is a very emotional player. And can be taken out of game playing to that. SC does have faults, but their combination of height and 3-point shooting will be very difficult for any team to beat.

Lobo is a good analyst.
