Chicago St. about to get their second win of the season, up 8 on Central Connecticut w/ about 30 seconds left.

Eastern Washington dictating pace in Flagstaff as they are firmly attached to the Jacks 35-34.
On the Eagles staff a familiar name former Sun Devil Jamie Loera. I must quote from her bio:

Jamie Loera joins the Eastern Washinton staff for the 2024-25 season after a storied playing career at Arizona State, and then here at Eastern Washington.

While playing at Arizona State, Jamie was on the 2019 roster that made the Sweet Sixteen in the NCAA Tournament

Yes, as we know, not that long ago the Sun Devils were not a laughingstock, but a respected program.

Down in the valley the Lopes are having their way with Southern Utah to extend their winning streak.

I have a bad feeling about the second half ...Grossman and Eggars are bullying Glancy and Neverson and the pace favors the Eagles.

Ahem.

Blame it on the plane
I mean, they only had to travel halfway across the country. No big deal. If you're not going from one coast to the other, it doesn't count.

.-.
Well, Strack went 2-12 and Amoore 5-18 (and 0-10 combined from 3). When those 2 do that, Kentucky could be in trouble.

I thought Miami was finally gonna get a win. But nope, got outscored 24-8 in Q4 by Clemson, lose by 3. Can they get their money back for their recent coaching hire?

Arkansas chipped away at the lead a bit, but they must've gotten tired. 29-9 Vandy in Q4, 101-56 under 2 minutes left.

With a bunch of conference games played, now get a better picture on the teams.
Iowa at 3-6 in conference is in BiG trouble

Im conflicted.... love seeing Duke play well :) Hate seeing SMU take a arse whipping :(

How ‘bout that Toby? Is it safe to say she’s a front runner for ACC Freshman of The Year? She and Dani Carnegie are neck and neck for me.

.-.
Tennessee continues their "close but not quite" tour.

There's something about Texas, I just don't think they are one of the truly elite teams this year.

edit--Vols have now lost 4 of their last 6...by a combined 8 points!

edit part 2--gonna be more losses coming, 3 of next 4 games are South Carolina (beat down coming), Uconn and @ LSU. @ Missouri will probably be the only win in that group.

Tennessee gets South Carolina and UConn in two of their next three (both at home).

Good ol Methodist on Methodist violence ....81-46 for the team from Durham

. MU scored 21 points in the first quarter.... 25 points the rest of the game. If it wasn't for a last minute 3 point shot... Duke would have held my mustangs to single digits in 3 straight quarters.

I do not consider this UConn team to be particularly athletic which could cause issues against Tennessee, but they’re so fundamentally sound that I can’t pick against them.

South Carolina in theory should roll, but Tennessee has a habit for keeping these games close and SC isn’t in that situation often.

The missing games will hurt Carneige, but I still think she is the leading contender. Fournier played well again today... 24 points in 25 minutes. Her FT stroke is much improved.... when she goes to the line now, I'm surprised when she misses.

Spot on. I’m eager for this one.

When, if ever, has Cal swept Stan?
I'm gonna guess never.

Washington St. is probably bummed they don't play the Card anymore. Never beat them even once in all the years facing them in the Pac 10/12. This could've been the year!

Portland handled Washington St. on the road. Zags now all alone in first place in the WCC, although in a few moments St. Mary's will be tied with them. Portland and Wazzu 1/2 game back.

Oregon St. lost @ San Francisco. Beavs are just tough to watch this year. They've had a few nice wins, but every single game is a struggle, regardless of the opponent.

Coach Lawson and Duke with Toby Fournier. Also, Ashlon Jackson and Tania Mair. Coach got something brewing at Duke.

shocked oh my GIF
Cotton McKnight and Pepper Brooks are the best broadcast duo ever, beyond a shadow of a doubt. Who cares if they are fictitious characters.
