Not crazy about the 5:00 tip-off, but I assume it’s being squeezed into a network slot. ESPN???

Weren’t they gonna to a “Gameday “ before the originally scheduled slot?

Not gonna be close to last year’s million plus viewers. :(

Moving the tip-off means that more people can watch the Duke-SMU showdown at 8pm EST

Oklahoma St. has mounted a couple 2nd half rallies after being down double digits against TCU. Just tied it w/ 1:30 left. Fr. Wooten has been huge down the stretch.

edit--16-2 run in about 5 1/2 minutes, OSU has surged ahead by 3

Oklahoma St. missed 4 straight FTs, tried to give the game away, but TCU wouldn't take advantage.

Hailey Van Lith misses at the buzzer. OkieSt rides a strong 2nd half to a 60-59 upset over TCU.

Oklahoma St. has beaten Baylor and TCU...and lost to Houston. That was absolutely inexcusable. Could be tied for 2nd place, 1/2 out of first if not for that major league gaffe.

edit--their other conference loss was Kansas, another game they shouldn't have dropped

Uh oh. One of my teams has decided to lay an egg tonight, playing against a team who has been struggling to beat anybody. This is the kind of game you just can't lose when you are trying to fight and scratch your way back to respectability.

Michigan is gonna pick up a nice road win at Minnesota.

Lee getting hurt opened the door for TCU and pppfff....
Prince started strong, but didn't score in 4th qtr. Hailey Van Lith had a game winning attempt, but missed. Nice win for OSU.

WVU also playing well, so now B12 is a 5 team race (TCU, OSU, KSU, WVU and Baylor) playing now only for a #2 seed (assuming KSU slides).

Okay, this is almost funny. Almost halftime, Iowa is shooting around 75% overall and 100% from 3. Washington the polar opposite. Mercy rule in effect? Iowa has lost 5 straight, but it's not gonna be 6.

Purdue is a mess this season
I like Katie Gearlds, and she comes off like she knows what she’s doing, but the results aren’t and haven’t been there. But I think Purdue is a tough place to recruit to for WBB. High academic standards and in the middle of Indiana. Even IU, a superior program in every sense, has a tough time landing top recruits.

In person watching the rebuild in Tempe is........truly an insight into ineptitude. The contrast between a well prepared, well coached P4 woman's team and the embarrassment in maroon and gold is sooooooooo painful. I can't imagine how bad it would be without the rebuild by the nice coach and 2021 CAA coach of the year.

The pressure is squarely on Cincinnati on Saturday.....if they don't win by 15 the plane ride home will be agony.....

and with the score 74-44 Ty Skinner commits the intentional foul.......oy.

5:21 left ... WV a 3 on 0 break!

They are making up for some clunkers in that 5 game skid with that 75/100/100 line. But...they have proven capable of letting teams back in to games.

Meanwhile Iowa St now 5-3 in conference clawing their way back into ncaa.

Nichols from Kansas with a VERY dangerous play, diving right into the knee of Vieira of Utah on a loose ball scramble. No call. You HAVE to call that. Vieira was slow to get up and limping a bit, but stayed in the game. There's just way too much chance for an injury on a play like that, you have to call that a foul.

That is how Duke's season was derailed in the 2017 NCAA tournament. Hampton player recklessly dove into Kyra Lamberts knee in a first round game, fighting for a loose ball. Lambert tore her ACL, and missed the 2017-18 season as a result.

Gneepkens is just killing Kansas. 28 pts 6 3's 10 reb 8 assists.

I think Utah isn't entirely out of the conversation. They're going to improve to 5-3, only 1 game back of several of these teams. Iowa St. is also 5-3 for that matter.

Did Iowa start to feel bad? They had 23 TOs, A LOT of them late in the game. Shot 71.7%, 33-46 from the floor. That is stunning. 85-61 final.

Okay, this might be the crazies stat I've ever seen. Washington had 5 defensive rebounds. Total. But if the other team never misses a shot, there are no D boards to be grabbed. Iowa did have 8 O boards though, so they grabbed way over 50% of their misses.

To be fair that describes Notre Dame to a T and they have no problem landing top players

Cincy plays hard, but only 2 players stood out. ASU might have a chance, I haven't seen them play but on any given day, as they say.

Regarding life in Tucson, no one is denying that the Women's Basketball program has been disappointing considering. If we ever had a team for more than a year - like we largely did with Aari - and a "star" not even necessarily as good as Aari, the results would be better. The big concern is the constant turnover, so yes, you can criticize Adia for all that. The declining performance largely reflects - over the years - youth due to turnover, injuries, not having enough players (last season).

On-court this season it has become clear that the 2 issues are "youth", with only Beh a true upperclassman and the lack of a dominant player. No one averages more than 12 points. When the team wins, you never know who is stepping up.

I don't mind you or anyone criticizing Adia or not liking her for that matter, but I see her players working hard for her and she is very much a player's coach.

The game between Michigan and Minnesota was a good battle like Inhoped it would be. The crowd atmosphere was awesome too. Minnesota had their chances until the last minute but couldn't pull off the win.

The Minnesota program is definitely on an upswing which is great to see. Too bad Braun and Woodson are out for the season as it would make the roster deeper and even more competitive.

might be a good MAAC contest starting between Fairfield and Manhattan. Fairfield is blowing out all their MAAC opponents (avg. margin of victory 32+) and Manhattan (after getting healthy) has won their last 4 games by 20+.

* it's a kids day and the screeeeeeech factor is high.
