The ACC has 11 teams in the top 45 of the NET. The issue is the majority of them are lumped in the 30-45 range.

Has this ap ballot been discussed? 🤨
whats the point of "discussing" individual ballots?

not how I would rank them, but I dont see why it's a big deal. the AP poll means nothing. it's just a collection of opinions. it doesnt matter for seeding. any one ballot has a 3% impact on the final results.
I agree but I looked anyways because I was smelling UConn or anti-SEC bias by elevating Vanderbilt and Michigan over South Carolina and pushing Texas to 7. I didn't see any bias on the surface...Boston University grad, works for the San Francisco Chronicle covering women's sports with a focus on Stanford and Cal coverage in the college ranks. Who knows why she chose what she chose and I don't really feel like looking any deeper lol

It was meant to be funny I don’t think it’s serious. None of this matters regardless for NCAAT seeding anyways

So, similar to the Big Ten last year (six of 12 teams ranked from 29-44 NET)?

Don't forget that WAB is being used on the women's side this year for the first time. RIght now, the nine teams that I mentioned in a previous post are all in the Top 50 (all positive) while UVA and Miami are in the negative and outside of the Top 50. For now, I think that we can push Miami and UVA to the other side of the bubble when it comes to ACC teams. That doesn't mean they'll stay there, but it does mean that that's kinda where they are at the moment (outside looking in).

Louisville, Duke, UNC, and NC State comprise the clear first tier. Until the teams in the middle start playing the California teams and each other more, I can't really separate that "next tier" (Clemson, ND, Stanford, Syracuse, VT).

Pretty much with you on the tiers. I’d argue UVa “should” very much be in that next tier based off of talent. There is no reason they shouldn’t be competing at the top of that group of teams in the next tier, but they’ve not proven it on the court. They’ve feasted on the bottom dwellers of the conference for the most part so far. Best win of the year is Clemson and they have a wtf loss with UMBC. Not a stellar resume.

You're right about that. They should be there. This is Year 4 with Mox and Year 3 with that backcourt. She's got to make it happen.

The early returns aren't promising, but we'll see where they land.
