Oddly the turning point of the game was probably Shumate coming in from deep off the bench and hitting a pair of 3s.
 
Great comeback win by Ohio State. That's by far the best they've looked this season.

Iowa just had no answer on defense for McMahon. Sheldon was also rock solid in the big moments.

Dreadful game by Stuelke, yikes. The missed clutch free throws were just brutal.
 
Looks like Creighton beat Villanova fairly easily. Nova only scored 49, and Olsen had 29 of those. Holy cow what was the rest of the team doing?
 
Clark has 45 but she went a bit cold late. Davis had a nice game...that was pretty much it for the Hawkeyes. O'Grady had a nice 3rd quarter. Martin missed some wide open 3s at inopportune times.


100-92 final.
 
Not me trying to figure out how a player takes 38% of team's shots and getting 16 attempts at the FT line ...

On edit, I'm trying not making a comparison, however putting that many eggs in the basket will not work all the time. Wondering how stifling the defense was on CC that she got to the line that many times. OSU's starters were all in double digits, which seems more balanced.

McMahon. The only time I've seen her stopped is when she stopped herself. Sometimes she gets too fired up and she can't handle herself. She's a hidden gem.

There'a clear top 3 and then teams 4-9 are all relatively even with each other as well as inconsistent game to game. Those 6 teams in the second tier are packed into spots 20-43 of the NET.
 
It wasn't like Clark wasn't scoring at the end; she also had some nice passes to teammates and the ball just didn't drop (or they got fouled and missed FTs).

The issue for Iowa wasn't the lack of balanced scoring, but the porous defense from the 4th qtr into OT. McMahon had herself game and no one could stop her.

That's been a weak spot for her. With respect to her defensive abilities today, I wonder if her nagging injuries are having impact. She's been kept out of games and was seen to be hampered a bit today.

Very scary moment with the court storming after the game.

A fan running toward the middle of the court while holding her phone up in the air collided with Clark as she was running off the floor.

Fortunately Clark said after the game that she was not injured, but the collision looked awful.
 
Nice feature at halftime of Davidson vs. Duquense on CBSSN. Megan McConnell, a member of hoops royalty in Pennsylvania. Dad was a long time HS coaching legend. Aunt is player and coach Suzie. Brother TJ had a nice college career and has surprisingly been in the NBA for almost a decade, don't think anybody projected that.
 
Nebraska made a game of it. Were down as much as 20, got within 7. Lost by 9, too big of a deficit to dig out of.
 
A couple more possible upset watches. Indiana and Florida St. are getting all they can handle from Purdue and Virginia.

Another big pair of games in the Missouri Valley--Murray St. vs. Drake and Belmont vs. Northern Iowa. Both just getting going.
 
@triaddukefan you might have to find your Washington hat...and set it on fire! Dawgs down 5 at home to the worst team in the conference. If they lose this, I'm starting the fire Langley brigade.
 
Virginia showing a shooting prowess they have not shown up to now...and up 3 now on FSU, forcing a timeout.

And although we are trying to watch the Bucs v Lions game, the only WBB station working on our cable box is SECN, so I'm missing my round the world watching on ACCN & PAC12 stations. Grrrr.
 
Freshman Kymorra Johnson put up a 30-burger and Virginia hangs on to upset #15 Florida State on the road, 91-87.

The middle pod in the ACC (Duke, UNC, NC State, Virginia, Virginia Tech) is something else.

Sigh I don't know what came over me to think that an ACC team wasn't going to play down to its mediocre opposition. Hopefully the voters will take notice and consider dropping FSU from the top 25.

To review, Virginia came into this game 8-9 and 0-6 in the ACC.
 
North Carolina vs. Louisville is gonna take about 15 minutes to play the last minute of the game. Foul calls every few seconds, both teams in the bonus. Exciting basketball!

And their losses were to NC State (twice), UNC, Duke, Notre Dame and Georgia Tech. They weren't losses to bottom-feeder teams.
