Isn't Pili battling an injury?Washington St. 22-15 lead over USC thru Q1.
edit--Motuga has 11 and Pili is scoreless so far. Raise your hand if you expected that...
Yeah. She had 17 Friday night but might have reaggravated it again at the end of the game, I thought I saw her hobbling.Isn't Pili battling an injury?
I’m with ya on this one.I hate the dedicated threads -- completely destroyed usefulness of this board with clutter, but ok.
It gets my attention as well, long enough for me to look at who they've beaten and refuse to reward them solely for beating the likes of Pitt and Clemson.Hard to find teams for #21-25. If a team in a P5 conference wins a bunch of games (without losing), it gets my attention.
Folks are still ranking Syracuse. I dont recall the details but at the time of my last poll, I thought GT was better than Cuse based on an ACC performance comparison. It gets my attention as well, long enough for me to look at who they've beaten and refuse to reward them solely for beating the likes of Pitt and Clemson.
My point exactly. Syracuse somehow still getting the benefit of the doubt despite no true top-25 wins and several soft losses. Then once one team gets rank-inflated just for their conference affiliation, that somehow becomes the circular reasoning to support inflating others' rank as well.Folks are still ranking Syracuse. That was GT's 3rd game in six days...I think fatigue might have played a role. Plus, Wake Forest really had their backs against the wall if they still wanted to try getting into the post-season. Dangerous combination. What is it gonna take for people to realize there are not more than two top 25 teams in the ACC.
Somehow GT magically started getting votes recently even though they hadn’t beaten anyone outside the deep pool of mediocrity that resides in their conference.
I AM SO HAPPY FOR NANCY FAHEY!!!Illinois wins! 54-49 over Purdue.

But no convincing those who do not want to believe in the ACC so I'll just stop right here. We may not have very many elite teams but EVERY team (especially now that Virginia has called it quits) is capable of winning in any given game. That isn't true for every conference.

I like the idea of separate game threads. It makes finding information related to individual games much easier..and easier to perhaps turn my attention to a game that is tight in the waning moments rather than have one thread with disjointed comments that bounce from one game to another.I 100% agree. I enjoy the idea of being able to go into one thread, and if someone's excited about a game in that weekly thread, I might check in. I don't have the time or willpower to click into every single separate thread sometimes to see what's going on. The links are nice, but there's plenty of resources out there that provide links to games.
