I've seen some assert otherwise, but it still feels to me like Banghart owns Lawson.

I thought Duke had solved their offensive woes this year, but at least tonight was a regression.

Virginia tech is going to win. Back to back road wins over Miami and Georgia Tech. That’s pretty good. Because they were struggling. And it would have been easy to quit and just fall into the bottom of the acc this year.
I haven't watched them much, but I like what I've seen of Wenzel. Looks like she had a big game tonight.

The result that has truly come out of left field for me is Virginia Tech giving Georgia Tech its first loss. Absolutely nothing in VT's previous 14 games made me think they were capable of this kind of offensive output on the road against a good team. Just last week they got creamed at home by FSU by 30.

Fournier and Richardson, dukes leading scorers, combined for 7 points on …. 2-24 shooting!

Duke had 15 more shot attempts than UNC.

Dukes shoots 23%. uNC 32%.

The teams shot a combined 62% at the FT line on 43 attempts

21 turnovers for Duke and 26 for UNC yet only 9 fast break points total in the game.

An instant classic

Megan Duffy is THAT GIRL. Virginia Tech has stolen their last two ROAD games with composed late-game play in both. They're a young team (only three upperclassmen--and one of those is a junior who wasn't a starter until this year), too. If they can get a few 5* in Blacksburg, they will be in business in the ACC.

So SEC...South Carolina is really good, maybe Texas is next best, LSU wins whether they deserve to or not...throw everybody else in a blender. Except for the bottom feeders, who are really bad.

I have to stop watching these Duke-UNC games in Chapel Hell because they're always a mess. I blame Courtney Banghart and her vomit-inducing brand of basketball.

Two more undefeated teams go down tonight as well. Gotta love how conference play shakes outs.

This is really weird, in an ESPN jinx sort of way. Yesterday Michael Voepel posted an article on the ESPN App "NCAA women's basketball Power Rankings: Can Georgia Tech remain undefeated? "

Oops.

Along those lines, Charlie Creme picked Vanderbilt as his biggest surprise team so far in an article that came out today. They just got waxed by Ole Miss and are 1-2 in SEC play.

First I’ve watched Cal. Man they can shoot the ball! Pack down 39-33 at the half in California.

On the positive side for the Wolfpack, they may have found their answer at the 5. Tilda Trygger has been playing more and more and tonight she has 8 points, 5 rebounds and a block at the break. Not the most physical big, but she has impacted this game quite a bit.

Oregon St. hands San Francisco their first loss in WCC. It seems like it doesn't matter if the Beavs are playing the worst team or the best team in the league, it will be a close game either way. But they keep pulling out some wins.

About the best team in the WCC...I don't have a clue who that actually is. I didn't really believe it was USF. Portland kinda crashed and burned after cruising thru OOC. It might still turn out to be Gonzaga. We'll find out eventually.

Kinda feels like Olivia Pollerd is wasting her talent her last year. Maybe should've joined everybody else in transferring from Santa Clara. Dropped 27 on 11-17 shooting in a double digit loss to Pacific. SCU dropped to 2-5 in the fairly weak WCC and 8-9 overall.

I can't help but do what-ifs with her. Was at Washington as a Fr. but didn't even get a chance, barely played. Who couldn't use a 6-3 wing that can shoot the 3?

Washington St. now finds themselves tied for 1st in the WCC.
