Week 1 - other games thread

I never thought I would be rooting for Louisville. Hope they turn things round in second half against Cuse

Ohio State’s offense has been underwhelming, not impressed with their skill guys.

.-.
Bama destroyed Utah St 55-0.

Syracuse leads Louisville 31-7 4th qtr. Their D has looked strong.

They were about 6-point underdogs going in. Maybe they'll come in overconfident next week and we'll hit 'em in the mouth.

Shrader will be a handful and their CBs are very good. Cuse's D will probably sell out for the run, but I think they can be run on as long as ZT can sell some play action to keep their D-line honest.

Oof, Pac 12 already pretty much tanked their season. Oregon destroyed by Georgia and Utah came up a bit short against an unranked Florida team. Conference won't be taken seriously for the rest of the year now...again. The ghost of Larry Scott continues to haunt.

At least Washington won't repeat their opening day disaster like last year, when they generated NO offense against FCS Montana. 3 TDs in the first quarter. They found a QB who can actually throw the ball, what a novel concept.

Here's how UConn's 2022 opponents fared this weekend:

Bama 55 Utah St 0
Cuse 31 L'Vile 7
Michigan 51 Colorado St 7
NC State 21 East Carolina 20
Fresno St 35 Cal Poly 7
FIU 38 Bryant 37 OT
Tennessee 59 Ball St 10
Rutgers 22 BC 21
Tulane 42 UMass 10
Liberty 29 So Miss 27 4OT
Coastal Carolina 38 Army 28

Brian Kelly has his work cut out for him at LSU. They are light years away from where they were a few years ago.

Wow- Fresno State destroyed the smart kids

Florida State really pitched the ball near the goal line

A fitting end to that game. A thrilling finish, but both coaches have to know that they have a lot or work ahead of them. Still, a fun watch to be sure.

The FSU coach is a bozo. Kneel the ball 3 times and kick a chip shot FG you dope.

.-.
That’s the bozo who hung 70 on us a couple years ago!
Who didn't? That makes him a good coach? That was horrific coaching on the goal line. How are you gonna be pitching the ball in that situation?

I noticed that Jack Zergiotis lost in a rematch with Matthew Sluka . Holy Cross beat Merrimack 31-17 this week. Jack was 15-29 with 2 touchdown passes and one interception.

And also, not sure if this has already been posted somewhere, Steve Krajewski did not play and is listed 3rd on the depth chart at Georgia State.

I also note that Sidney Walker is listed 2nd on the depth chart for Buffalo, Robby Rochester 2nd for TCU, and Lwal Uguak 3rd on the chart for TCU ( a bit of a surprise ).
