Week 1 games (Nov. 25-29)

a little off-topic, but Elizabeth Williams little brother (7 feet tall with a 7'5 wingspan) just scored his first basket as a blue devil.

Watched a little of the VPI-Liberty game... didnt know that Liberty and Ohio played earlier... Liberty blew a 15 pts first half lead and lost 76-72.

You mean you didn't know they played, despite inclusion in my carefully procured weekly docket ?

I'll give you a pass this time because the game overlapped with Duke's. :p

No, I'm not. Not exactly the fastest or most athletic front court Tenn has had over the years.
You seem a bit off. They have been very athletic and quick to all the spots so far. To me, they are more poised and controlled on defense. Not that fast and out of place type.

Gamecocks with three 3 pointers (2 Cooke, 1 Henderson), to start game against S. Dakota.
15-10 SC, 4:34 1st Q.

I will say Tennessee 82 Western Kentucky 58.
Horston will shine.
I think Western Kentucky will have a good team.
Well, we can write off 2 out of the 3 predictions. The score remains to be determined, of course.

Am I reading the box correctly? Horston didn't start and she's 0 of 4 from the field?

Horston struggling so far. She plays out of control too often and turns it over a bit.

Meanwhile, in a game between two teams that both actually have a good chance of making the NCAA tournament, FGCU leads Arkansas at halftime, 47-42. And this is despite the fact that Kierstan Bell has still not been cleared to play.

FGCU seems to have overcome its frigid shooting against Missouri State. Junior Tishara Morehouse leads with 20 points on 7-9 shooting, and senior Alyssa Blair has come off the bench to add 10 points on 4-5 FG.

Yes Walker has more experience at the point. Horston didn't shoot good today. Its the first game. She will be OK.

I'm accustomed to watching a faster pace of play, hard, fast cuts and post players who can get up and down the court. I forgot that's not Tenn basketball. They are big bodies for sure.
