Very impressed with how the Yotes of Vermillion are competing. Not one iota intimidated. Contributions from Sjerven (7 points and 9 rebounds at halftime), Lamb, Krull and Korngable. If only Chloe Lamb wasn't shooting so cold (3 of 15 at half), they'd be doing even better.

Meanwhile, from Fort Myers, FGCU leads Arkansas 67-60 at the start of 4Q. Dungee and Ramirez are a combined 7-24. Tishara Morehouse continues her star turn, with 27 points so far.

A couple minutes into 4Q, Morehouse and Stanley of FGCU came down injured in some type of collision and both came out of the game (it was apparently just a cramp for Morehouse). While both were out of the game, Arkansas hit back to back 3's to take the lead. Currently tied up at 72 at the last media timeout.

So they escape with a win against a team that just got destroyed by Missouri State yesterday. Razorbacks continuing their status as one of the more overrated teams in college basketball.

39-14 thru Q1. Ducks subbing early and often, I think pretty much everybody has been in already. Prince looked fairly dominant. Paopao is fast. Giomi had some good minutes. Mikesell 3-4 behind the arc.

Arkansas got a scare from Florida Gulf Coast but escaped with an 86-80 win after a great 4th quarter. They were losing 67-60 after three quarters.

It's actually gonna be tough to judge because Maryland, from what I saw in their first game, is very disjointed right now and has a lot of improvement to make in terms of cohesion and flow. Lots of players who, though individually talented, haven't ever played an actual game together before.

Yeah same in place of Shelley. But it’s weird b/c they don’t have a true SF, so I guess it’s a 3 guard lineup this season. Seems to be working in their favor so far up 50-23

Oh so that explains the meltdown by FGCU in the 4th... I still think they’re going to give MD a game tomorrow, Slocum will be extra motivated to take down her first school. Terps have to limit Ramirez, Dungee & Slocum 3-pt attack!

Jeez, Oregon up 71-25 at the half. I think they're going to be okay despite losing 4 starters. Strange as it may sound, I think I might be most impressed w/ Giomi. Brutally efficient in her limited minutes, just keeps getting buckets and grabbing rebounds.

Oregon is up 71-25 at the half....I know Seattle isn't a very good team but the ball movement looks stellar. They also might have the best 3pt shooting team in the country with Chavez, Scherr, Parrish, Boley, Shelley, and Mikesell who all have great looking strokes. If ball movement stays strong against better teams, they're a Final Four contender IMO.
