Tied at halftime. I saw the score and had to take a peek. 👀lol, Tenn had to call a timeout in the 2nd quarter, down 28-20 vs UT-Martin
There was an article this week in a Knoxville paper where Coach Caldwell noted these concerns. She wasn't happy with the team's shot selection and the fouling.Tied at halftime. I saw the score and had to take a peek. 👀
The story seems to be that the 3 ain't falling for Tennessee and it is falling for UT Martin. Tennessee also went on a run where they couldn't stop fouling.
It's basically 5 seconds on offense where they take the first open shot and then 30 seconds on defense where UT-Martin takes it down to the last second with each possession..rinse and repeat. It's gotta be hard to find offensive rhythm operating like that. There was an article this week in a Knoxville paper where Coach Caldwell noted these concerns. The Terps were down 58-48 late in the 3rd quarter. The UNRANKED Addi Mack took over the game. Scored 23 points to lead the Terps.MD 34-9 in the 4th and a comfortable looking 85-66 win, even though they trailed 57-53 starting the 4th
DePaul did that? I guess I don’t recall the 5 for 5 subs every 3 minutes.Somebody convince me Caldwell isn't doing exactly the same thing as Bruno did at DePaul, only with higher rated recruits.
Maybe not the hockey line subs, but frenetic on D and O, seemingly not valuing possession of the ball. Pushing tempo at all costs, and throwing the ball towards the rim as soon as you can once you cross half court. Syracuse did something similar as well w/ Q.DePaul did that? I guess I don’t recall the 5 for 5 subs every 3 minutes.
Seems a little closer to Mitchell’s 40 minutes of dread at KY.
My hunch is that this is a gimmick and gimmicks don’t work against the highest levels of competition, but what do I know?

They seem better in the second half where at least the ball is exchanging hands before a shot goes up. Tennessee has a big advantage in the post and they're not even trying to play inside-out. I would say it's more than just shot selection, it's also their offensive philosophy/strategy that is shooting them in the foot this game. They have advantages that they're not using.
I’ve been pretty impressed with Mack. Any news on when Smikle will return? The Terps were down 58-48 late in the 3rd quarter. The UNRANKED Addi Mack took over the game. Scored 23 points to lead the Terps.
Next year they will have four wings that want to do the same things on the basketball court. It will take a special coach to make that work.Juju and Jazzy are going to be a great duo. Unfortunately, I’m not sure Gottlieb will be the right person to lead them.
I would not be surprised if Juju isn’t there next year. She should be old enough for the WNBA and you also have the Saudi League starting up.Next year they will have four wings that want to do the same things on the basketball court. It will take a special coach to make that work.
But with $NIL and endorsements... what's the rush? She might be able to make more money/fame as a college star, no?I would not be surprised if Juju isn’t there next year. She should be old enough for the WNBA and you also have the Saudi League starting up.

To clarify, Project B reports that it is not Saudi funded.Than the W, yes.
Than the Saudis, no.
Those folks could dwarf the Russian oligarchs who funded the teams that D, Sue played for. The challenge would be getting women to go to a place where womens' rights are still limited. (But they can now drive cars!!)
Nneka has signed up.
Thank you for the info.To clarify, Project B reports that it is not Saudi funded.

Project B Basketball League Says It Has No Saudi Funding
The startup’s cofounder tells FOS that its fundraising “doesn’t include any dollars from Saudi Arabia.” The league has a Saudi event partner.frontofficesports.com
Hence why I said "reports". Who really knows for sure?Thank you for the info.
I did some digging and it looks like Saudi involvement is unclear. Eg, I found this:
