Weak schedule

I don't care what the OOC looks like. I only care that UCONN will prevail over all the teams!! I don't care what conference UCONN plays in. as long as we win the Title. I don't care what UCONN's seeding is going into the NCAA games as long as we go on a 6 game win streak. So it is obvious that I only care about is wins, Which is the reason we play this game. GO HUSKIES!!!!!! THE BEAST OF THE EAST!!!!!

Unfortunately, we cannot schedule ourselves. Unfortunately, we are required to schedule Big East opponents.

If there is absolutely nothing UConn can do about it, what exactly is the point of bitching about their conference affiliation? And no, there is 0 chance the ACC and Big East will merge.
I think the emerging of the UConn football team is a positive sign that the ACC will look into a merge, or at least they will find value in inviting UConn alone to join the conference. Everybody knows that the football program is the Achilles heel for UConn, but what Jim Mora has done is unbelievable, bringing the program back to life. And besides, having a coach of Moras stature would be a win for the ACC. Add in the stature of Geno and Hurley, it would be a land of riches to have this team of coaches in the conference.

The answer: join the ACC.
Come on UConn football.
Would Danny be ok with that switch? BE mens can be really really good.
The ACC isn’t a club that UConn can just sign up to and join. UConn has been trying to get into a bigger conference for years, without luck, and it’s not because of the football team. It’s been discussed ad nauseum how hard UConn has tried to get into any f the P4, in fact there’s an entire board on the Boneyard just to discuss conference realignment.

BC blackballed UConn from joining the ACC because the state of Connecticut sued them for leaving the Big East after they said they’d stay. So now every year when the ACC meets, the conference discusses whether they’ll expand again and the decision was “no” this year.

As for football, last year UConn went to a bowl where it beat ACC team NC State. This year, the Huskies are 7-3, have the 12 ranked QB, and some of the best defensive stats in the country and yet the ACC chose not to extend an offer. Anyone that thinks all UConn needs to do to join a bigger conference is to pick up the phone needs to do some reading because you’re misinformed

There always exists a “standalone” opportunity for UConn to make a jump to a P4 conference. But the P4 are all about football, and UConn is the one and only school in the BE that is playing a BCS football schedule, albeit as an independent. Unless a school checks off BCS football as a competitive sport there is no opportunity for them to join a P4 conference.

There is no Big East football. Villanova is in the CAA and Georgetown is in the Patriot League. If any other schools play football, I’m unaware of it

Butler plays in the Pioneer League. Like Villanova and Georgetown they are a non-BCS team with no ambition to play with the big boys of college football.
