the first step back is getting back on national TV in march.

By 2025 - “above”, sweet sixteen or higher.
By 2027 - “above”, elite 8 or higher.
By 2029 - “above”, final 4 or a natty.

In all seriousness I just want the games to be enjoyable this season. Play some real basketball, don't lie down when we're down 10 and end up losing by 25. Win the games we should and steal a couple that we shouldn't.

I think last year's team could have won 20 games. This team should be better than that. While the roster isn't stuffed full of early 2000's level UConn talent, it has some nice pieces. The players were poorly utilized, put in positions that didn't maximize their skills and asked to do what they could not. The offense was atrocious, the easiest team to scout in the country. The defense made too many mistakes and couldn't adjust to take away what the opponent was doing.

I am counting on Hurley to restore competence to the way the team is coached. I hope he can do more than that. But we will find out in a few months just how badly this team was coached.

Just like failure breeds more failure, success breeds success. Once the guys start playing together and being successful good things will continue to happen. That said this is a flawed team without an established frontcourt that will be led by a new point guard. That's a lot to overcome.

All I really hope for here is a change of culture back to what we used to be, or Dan Hurley's version of it.
I stopped watching last year because I couldn't deal with the imposter team that was on the court with KO attaching lead weights to the program.

Just give me back the will to root.

Lotsa excuses for Hurley's first season already and it hasn't even started. Very disconcerting. Guess these guys are okay to be a mid-major as long as Ollie is not the face of the program.

I honestly dont really care all that much if we make the NCAA. If we dont make the NIT ill be angry, but not really the NCAA. For this poll both A and B: Win what we should win and to look like a functioning team on both ends.
