This one, Rip vs Washington, or Ray Allen’s leaner vs Iverson & Georgetown in ‘96 for me, Though Kemba vs Pitt, and Shabazz vs Florida were awesome too.

The Kemba shot the game was tied. It wasn't a "must" make.

The Dream Season and Tate started the entire engine of what Husky Mania is today. If we hadn't hit that shot against Clemson and then lost to Duke in same manner none of these Duke games would have had the same juice. I don't think Duke hates us anywhere near as much as we will always hate them because of Laettner. We were the little brother back then that said "someday" i'm gonna be bigger than you. They unleashed a monster that day.
Oh I think they really hate us. Especially now.

Does Mullins game winner take the cake over the likes of Kemba, Tate George, Rip, Jalen?
Yes. Tate knocked down the shot but that was more about the pass and we gave up an enormous lead. This was simply miraculous after coming all the way back from down 19 against the overall #1 and our arch nemesis. It was a broken play turnover and he drained it from the logo for the win. It's one of the biggest shots in the history of college basketball considering what was on the line.

They still won the Big East regular season and tournament in '90 and made the Sweet 16. Husky Hysteria was already a thing before the shot. And then Calhoun didn't break through to the final four for another 9 years. It was always going to happen for him. I don't think Tate's shot moved the needle THAT much (though sure it helped).

This shot is going to be one of the most famous NCAA shots of all time for any team, considering it's 3 F4 in 4 years for Hurley and Karaban, it's another Duke/Scheyer collapse, and the nature of the collapse, the logo distance, and more so if Mullins goes on to do stuff in the NBA or in college (or the next 2 games for that matter).

Discuss!!! Well, first of all, Ray-Ray's BE Conference winning shot against Iverson should be acknowledged, HOWEVER, it's not the MOST important by any means or even the most spectacular

I voted for Rip's shot against Washington. It put us into the Final Four for the first time and, of course, we won. Winning that game in Tampa gave us instant credibility as a place for recruits to consider. It grounded UConn as a viable suitor for major basketball talent. That talent, coming to UConn, then resulted in 5 more Natties over the years and other great players wearing our unis. Caron, though he didn't play in a Final Four, comes to mind.

Braylon 's shot this afternoon might have been the most spectacular - especially because the outcome means we not only won the game, and advanced to the Final Four, but reinforced we should because we are clearly a team to be considered as a title contender. Think about this too; we only LEAD IN THAT GAME FOR .03 SECONDS. Unbelievable.

It’s this one. The only thing that could have made this shot better is if he shot it .5 seconds later and it was a true buzzer-beater.

Yeah Ray's shot is an obvious oversight omission that deserves to be in the conversation. That's our only shot to actually win a trophy.

Rip's shot was in the Sweet 16 not Elite 8, not for the final 4. Didn't make the F4 until the next season.

Kemba will always be the most iconic, but that was the most important. Personally, my best memory of one too as I got to enjoy this one with my Dad, and got to rub it in to my older Brother who is a dook fan (actually went there.)

When I arrived on campus (eons ago), there was a kiosk at Homer Babbidge Library where you could watch "The Shot." I watched it every time I went to the library. That was magic. Mullins shot was other-worldly. The comeback and win at the end was epic. Given the stakes, Mullins shot was the best in UConn history.

Kemba's shot will always be top for me in my heart, but I can't give it my vote as the biggest or greatest in UConn history. Like others have said, Kemba's shot was in a tied game. It was also the BET and the semi-finals. Mullins shot sent us to the Final Four after being down by 19. TBH, however much we were down doesn't matter to my choice. He made an almost half court shot to win the game and send us to the Final Four against the number one OVERALL seed. Can't vote against that.

The shot was ridiculously deep...

I ranked Mullins shot as the Best considering he is a freshman and he made ZERO threes before that one.

Similar to Nova's shot, but that was for the championship.

Recency not withstanding... it's Braylon's shot. Huge moment, sends the team to the final four.

I'd have Tate's to send the team to the Elite 8 in 1990 as #2.

Kemba's shot was huge and set things off on the run to the 2011 title (and McGhee may still be looking for his ankles), but ultimately was a Quarterfinal Big East tournament game, that was tied & UConn was getting into the tournament field win or lose. I'd actually have it behind Hamilton's shot against Washington, which, like Tate's and Braylon's came in the Sweet 16 or later and would've directly resulted in a loss otherwise.
