For the record, I think it’s the biggest ever. Difficulty factor, made by a freshman, on a poor shooting night, capping off a 19 point comeback, to beat overall 1-seed with the history of 1-seeds with a 15+ point halftime lead being 132-0, with that 1-seed being Duke, to get to the Fonal Four.

Tell me a bigger story than that.

It is the biggest shot. At least for me. (To leave no doubt they would have to win the NC next weekend)

(1) vs. #1 seeded Duke
(2) NCAA F4 on the line
(3) The sequence of Mullins stealing the ball and on top of that make the 3 is legendary
(4) What it means for the brand to beat Duke, another college basketball heavyweight with a mighty fan-base and the ESPN hype-machine always behind them.

I loved the Kemba step-back shot that was part of the 11-game post-season NC run. It will always be special. But at the end of the day the fact is that it was in the BET.

I think Tate George is now 2nd

I've watched the tournament for decades and objectively better than all those other shots.

Maybe Top 5 all time in terms of game situation/comeback, opponent, stakes, highlight reel worthy, and representative of March Madness
Exactly. I turned to my wife and said all things considered, that’s one of the biggest shots in tournament history. Forget UConn history.

I’m less than 100% sober but is it not up there as one of the biggest college/NBA shots ever? Up there with Ray’s shot in Miami?

Tate's shot is the most important. A lot of the rest of UConn basketball never happens if UConn does not make the Elite 8 in 1990.

That's a solid point. I always think about that. Each big win is what has made UConn what it is today. So in terms of meaningfulness and long-term impact for the program - Tate George will always be up there

As a fan for the last 30 or so years, Braylon's is definitely the biggest because it's in the so called "hardest game to win." But I have total respect for everyone who picks the Tate shot as the jumping off point for the program that exists today.

#2 behind Tate but I can’t fault the recency bias. Also, without Tate’s shot, we don’t get Laettner’s buzzer beater, which is why we hate Duke so much and this win is so much sweeter!
Recency bias? We are comparing individual shots and immediate contexts surrounding each respective shot. This dwarfs that shot. But I can’t fault your nostalgia bias.

This shot without question because it capped a 19 point comeback against one of the greatest Duke teams of all
time, and it was the final 4 on the line. The only way to top this shot is doing something equivalent in the title game.

The Kemba shot the game was tied. It wasn't a "must" make.

The Dream Season and Tate started the entire engine of what Husky Mania is today. If we hadn't hit that shot against Clemson and then lost to Duke in same manner none of these Duke games would have had the same juice. I don't think Duke hates us anywhere near as much as we will always hate them because of Laettner. We were the little brother back then that said "someday" i'm gonna be bigger than you. They unleashed a monster that day.
This is correct.

It was big. No shot will replace George's for the reason that has already been mentioned.
If UConn can manage to win the next 2, then it will rise up and be number 2 because of being able to cap it off.
Surprised Brimah's put back and 1 isn't listed. Without it, despite it being early in the tourney, the championship would be down 1. I know it was a close put back, but he wasn't a terrific foul shooter and hit it when he absolutely had to.
