That’s a good question. I would think that so long as a college and academic program is accredited by the DOE, academic credits would transfer from one university to another. I think the problem you reference only comes into play when an athlete transfers from a school that is not accredited such as a JUCO.
I think there’s no guarantee that credits will all be accepted, regardless of accreditation. I’ve been through this very situation too many times with students where I’m asked to write a letter affirming the quality of particular course credits to persuade a recalcitrant registrar at another institution. It succeeds less than half the time. Also, registrars are not likely to assess transferability of specific credits before a student’s third year or when a major has been declared.
Better in what ways? Certainly not in knowing the UConn system. Not any quicker or in ball handling or at running a team. Please list the number of ways.

Isn't her highlight video against one team, Cal Poly, that was down 20 before some fans were probably in their seats (hyperbole)? And was the second game of the season. If she was able to sustain that kind of team contribution, I am guessing that she would have played as many minutes as our KK. Did she? (I'm too tired to look it up....)
Yeah, exactly, Uconn has not been "on another level" for 10 years. They are at the highest level along with a half dozen or more other excellent programs each year, - and, yes, the best of the best sometimes. We don't have to claim utter dominance, and put down other excellent teams to feel great about the program. It seems particularly ludicrous to assert Heckle would be moving to a whole higher level at which her prior performance might not be reflective of what her performance could be at Uconn, when Heckle's team beat Uconn somewhat convincingly earlier in the year (I was at the game, the score ended up a bit tighter than the game actually played). We don't know how the subsequent elite 8 game with those two teams "at full strength" would have worked out ( I'd have picked Uconn). Heckel would be moving to a great opportunity with a proven program and coaching staff, but, seriously would Heckel at Uconn even beat USC (with JuJu stood back up) in a final four next year - who knows (I'd again pick Uconn). It is so tiresome to keep hearing that we are automatically at some higher level than everybody else every year in a changing college basketball landscape. Arguably, ND had the best roster last year - how'd that work out - that is why we have to just play the games and see. At the elite level at which Uconn is every year, it becomes more about culture, chemistry, and injuries than pure talent. Would benefit from Heckle from both talent and depth standpoint, if she doesn't negatively impact chemistry- she surely won't trip over any perceived higher level - she'll do her level best (LOL) - and we'll see
One and two may be given, but 'running a team'? There is currently no Nika or Kaitlyn on the roster, so that responsibility is certainly open to all who apply.

Ok, as I noted earlier, Geno took in Chen when we had more guard support and as strong if not stronger rotation concept coming into the last year and Chen became a key piece. Heckel, while not a starter coming in, will be as critical due to our lack of experienced PGs. We have KK and Azzi if we need it, last year we had Paige, KK and Azzi. Kelis may be wonderful but we simply don't know and do we really want to pin our hopes on an unproven freshman in the UConn system? Heckel makes the rotation as a dangerous piece with very little drop off and YES she does make the team better.

Shade and Cheli played PG. And Ziebell has to get meaningful minutes SOMEWHERE because you can’t just have Azzi and Shade as deep threats, both of which I consider streaky. Ziebell can shoot it, but garbage minutes aren’t going to get her settled in, imo. Chen was a graduate student with one year of eligibility. Heckel has three years. The latter will have considerably more impact on rotation and possibly recruiting. Biggest unknown for me is what are her expectations. I certainly see her potential, but I don’t see a Chen or Lopez Senechal with this addition. Sera checked off many needs. I would categorize Heckel as a want.

No, UConn just had a higher gear, a larger fuel tank, and tougher mentality than all the #1 seeded teams. Also, it was March and April - THAT time of year, when it counts!
And Fudd missed the ND game with a knee sprain, came back and played only 8 minutes against USCw, went 0-4. Different player also.
