Vukosa is the Gatorade NPOY

Just announced that she won the award. And DT gave her the award. Nothing beats the good ol’ “UConn (recruiting) bump”

A wonderful award for the NO1 pick. A sign of wonderful things to come. The Huskies have a team of Sarah, Olivia, Jovana , Allie and Ashlynn that will be the envy of every other team out there and the nexus of more NC.s to come. GO HUSKIES!!!!!

I guess KK and Blanca are graduating too huh?

Congrats to Olivia, well deserved. The story indicated that she’s the first UConn commit since Paige to receive the award, is that right? Weren’t both Azzi and Sarah National Players of the Year

I guess K9 is graduating too? That's news to me..

This article also seems a little misleading.. Says she is "the first Uconn bound player to win NPOY since Paige" ???

I thought I recall Azzi winning that award too? As a high school sophomore I think. Maybe I am wrong.

Didn't Strong win it too?

Azzi yes but it was her sophomore year in 2019. Sarah did not win it her year. It was Joyce Edward’s

I wasn't clear enough in my posting. I meant 3 point shooters.that with the 5 I posted will lead the BB world in 3 pointers as they all are prolific 3 point shooters. I missed Blanca , she should be in the mix. Sorry about that. GO HUSKIES!!!!!!

Surprising but, also, Sarah and Azzi didn't win it? Azzi had some injury struggles but Sarah????

As an aside, I was interested in Olivia's height. Olivia is not much taller than Diana at 6'0". Both were wearing sneakers. College players' heights are a very common area for teams to fudge numbers.

Joyce Edwards instead of Sarah????? That does not add much (or even any) credibility to the Award and how its winner is chosen. It was pretty clear that entire recruiting year that SS was far and away the class of that class and it wasn't even close.
