I know from personal knowledge that Bryant isn't in love with the conference. They just don't really have a choice right now. They prefer a more regional and better academic conference. I'm really not sure where Bryant is trying to go with all of this. They've lowered their acceptance standards, added liberal arts and sciences and despite seemingly leaving their Babson/Bentley model behind, seem to be thriving. Its a very well run operation, but I fear getting too far away from attracting really strong students will be a problem down the road. As of now, Bryant is doing really well in all of the rankings that really matter. I'm just not sure why they've made this aggressive move to play D1 sports and grow them so fast.
