So a few hours before we played St. Mary’s, my brother called inviting me to my nephew’s birthday party, 11:30-1:30 on the Saturday before Easter. I responded with “oh man I’d love to, but that’s right around the time they’re gonna be having the victory parade for when UConn wins the national championship.” And we laughed and joked about how awesome that would be.

So here I am a few days after getting back from Houston, and I know I need to do the right thing….be a good uncle, honor my word, and show my nephew how to prioritize the important things in life.

Which is all to say…I’ll be making a “Happy Birthday Nathan” sign to hold up at the parade. See you degenerates tomorrow.

I have a "Top Dogs Again" sign that the Courant gave away at the 2014 parade and was going to bring that to the parade, but unfortunately I had it at my last job and when I left there put it in a box and when I just pulled it out it's all ripped. Darn.
