Nutmeg,
Agree with your assessment and we have some tough matches coming up (Chels / Man City @ home / Swansea on the road - tough place), but I like where we sit and I especially like that we got 4 points against Man U this season. I would put the odds at about 60% making CL. Last year was a heartbreaker, but I think this team, and Bale especially, has a chance to be really special. I suspect a CL run would quicken the pace on the new stadium and given how well run the club is financially (they will have the building paid for before moving in) the extra money should position them to stay at the top of the league for years.
Zoo - that stadium has looked amazing. I'm really impressed by how the management was able to turn around the support for the club (getting out of Chiefs Stadium was huge). They are now up there with the top supported clubs like Montreal, Seattle, Vancouver...but not quite Seattle which averaged an incredible 43k a game last season.
I actually think Hartford is the perfect location for an MLS team. Good sized market, no summer competition, stadium configuration & size are about perfect. If the Revs don't get a new field and I think they would be foolish to not at least take a look down here.
Champions league would be huge right now, for the future of the Club. Will be able to keep Bale, and bring in some high priced help this offseason.
