I luv this time of the season March Madness. Wow what a day. The selection committee has its work cut out for them. Do these upsets have any bearing on the seedings? Loosing to unranked teams early in conference tournaments should have some bearing. How many spots does each team drop and does LVille become a 2 seed and where? Who becomes a 1 seed to replace Lville and would it be Baylor if they win their conference tourney? Michigan LSU Maryland are huge early upsets.

It is said that NET, whos hot and whos not, injuries, and losing games late in the season are all factors in seeding. Well UConn should be in good shape for placement in Bridgeport. Ive always believed that because having UConn in CT brings in big money for the NCAA.

There are a few teams that are playing really well right now and some teams not playing very well. UConn has 5 losses and has been missing 2-3 key players in most of those losses. Now look at other teams who have lost a key player and see how many games theyve lost. Dont forget and Eric in LA reminded me of it last nite on our phone call. We were in the game with SC and lost it however Azzi and Nika were hurt and Caroline didnt see much action. Gotta wonder if those 3 were playing the way theyre playing now how that game wouldve turned out. Hey you cant go back and you can only wonder about "ifs".

Im looking forward to the teams that upset higher ranked teams yesterday and see what they do today.

To win a NC you need good guards and we have some of the best. You need height and we have alot of that too which makes it easy to substitute without loosing much. The injures and covid may have worked in our favor this season when you look at where we are as team and where we were as a team. We have dramatically improved at every position. We dont depend on one player to carry us although we have players that can do that. I am so excited about the rest of the season.

We have the guards and we have the defense and with the upsets so far the Door is Open for UConn to move up in the seedings. Its gonna be up to them.

South Carolina and Stanford are the biggest pillars UConn has to jump over to win a National Championship. Last year we all looked ahead to the final game, thinking Arizona will fold against us...there are too many good teams to think that far ahead anymore. UConn can do it all, we need lots of things to go our way.

Charlie already has UCONN moved up to a 2 seed, but in the Greensboro region. So for all those who said "it's only one loss", there has already been movement. Michigan now a 3 seed in Wichita.

I get that the NCAA seems to be going strictly off the S curve. If that's the case, then UCONN has now moved to #8.
  1. SC
  2. Stanford
  3. NC State
  4. L'ville
  5. Baylor
  6. Iowa State
  7. LSU
  8. UCONN
So if that's the case, there is a slim chance we get to Bridgeport. We would have to move to the #6 line. LSU already lost. Maybe a romp thru the BET will put us ahead of LSU. Iowa State has yet to play and had a 25 point beatdown by Baylor the other day. They play WVU today...

All this “seedings” gibberish plus $2.50 gets you a Pabst Blue Ribbon at O’Malley’s Pub during Happy Hour. UCONN wins the BE tourney. There will be no games where the outcome hasn’t been decided long before the final buzzer. It has nothing to do with their final seedings. Upsets or the lack of them by teams in stronger conferences will determine what seed UCONN will be.

So, UCONN will run the table in the BE and it will have nothing to do with seeding. They will be seeded based on outcomes they don’t control. Nothing to see here.

Unfortunately you are passively aggressively contributing to that UCONN- woe be us BS. ESPN has no input to the rankings and tournament seeding. ESPN is in the broadcast business- UCONN WBB is the equivalent of broadcast box office gold for ESPN going back to 1995.

The way this season is going, we could have a huge upset in the early rounds of the tournament. If our beloved UConn squad gets that #2 Seed, awesome. If not, awesome. Just go out there and handle business.

We are now a 2, but to get to Bridgeport the committee has to be able to locate the other teams without putting two top four seeds from the same conference in one bracket. Not that easy at the moment, try it for yourself. Every time you move someone to get us to Bridgeport it seems to put two conference teams together.

There are two conferences with four (4) each in the top 16. Unless that changes, UConn might not be moved from Greensboro unless the NCAA decides that a meeting between SC and UConn is best showcased in the FF or NC game. For that, UConn has too, unfortunately, continue routing everybody in the Big East tournament.....and maybe one or two of the 4s fall from the 16.

As I see it, we have a #4 NET and are #9 in the last seeding poll. Now, #8 Michigan and #7 LSU got knocked off early in their tournaments. We are not passing #4 Louisville. So if we roll in the Big East Tournament, and Iowa State loses one game OR plays a close game against a bad team (WVa?) we should be the #6 seed, in Bridgeport. I think the committee will see the vastly improved UConn team and decide a #6 in Bridgeport makes sense. You could make Michigan the #3 and Oklahoma the #4 seed in that region and that takes care of the two leagues with 4 top 16 teams.

We can only control our own results, but personally I would like to be out of South Carolina's and Stanford's regions, more than whether we are a #2 or #3 seed, or get to play at Bridgeport or not.
Yup, rather not need to play them to get the the FF.

A nasty animal.
More accurately: Approach with caution. All dogs, as all humans react differently and each situation is NOT the same. Always choose caution with the dog, wounded or not. That is especially true of the Husky! (animal or human!)
