He’s an underrated passer. As a Seattle guy, I’m especially rooting for him.

He’s a smooth player with a nice touch. My only concern with his game so far is lack of tenacity attacking the rim. I would like to see him finish and drive more aggressively as oppose to leaning back and fade aways, even though he can make those at a fairly high rate

After watching the game replay tonight - thank you @Storrs South - the biggest takeaway for me is that we have so many guys who seem comfortable creating for themselves. That was a big problem last year when the offense stagnated. I know, I know. America East opponent. Still, a very positive development.

The problem with these early season cupcake games. We are better than we were against New Haven and probably not as good as we looked tonight. We won't know anything until the BYU game. Need some game that are one possession games with 5 minutes left. Those are more exciting than these.

But we did beat an ACC and Big 10 team pretty handedly without our center. People forget. That MSU game did happen. It doesn’t count as far as stats, but I bet you the coaches and players know what’s up.

Sharpe a smidge longer and a bit bouncier but there are similarities there. Sharpe left as a freshmen and has developed a 3 ball some aduring his time with the Nets

Drummond honestly isn't that far off. Tarris is a 7'4" instead of 7'6" wingspan. But similar size/weight/strength and fluidity in movement. Ayton, Duren, those types.

Adem Bona got drafted 41st. Reed is maybe an inch shorter than Queta with the same wingspan, but stronger and better mobility.

He’ll make for a good bench big. The league still has physical rebounding types. Drummond/Jonas/Adams, I could name more but I think you get it.

It is tough sledding for big men breaking into the league because everyone wants big men that can shoot 35% plus from 3 and they want someone who can defend rim.
A player like Sanogo that can shoot 65% from 2 point range isn’t really sought after anymore.

60% from 2pt is equivalent to 40% from 3pt. I would love to see an nba buck the trend and build a team around running good offense and trying to hit high percentage 2pt shots.

One team has success with something and the every other team copies them for the next 5 years. That is why I like college basketball much better than NBA. There is a lot more variety of play styles, and every year different things work.

The piece this misses is that it's a lot easier to shoot 40% from 3 than 60% from 2. There were 38 players who hit 40% from 3 last year, but only 17 who hit 60% from 2. And there's very little overlap between the 2 lists, so there's not many guys actually making that tradeoff anyway

Not every big has to shoot threes, but it helps for players who are undersized, like Sanogo.

Also, Sanogo’s problem is that he shot 54% from two in the G League last year. I wanted him to make it so badly, but I get why he didn’t.
