If you have a problem with that attitude, so be it. Just that you know your graduating class wasn't any different.

But I don’t think it makes you a better fan. I’ve only missed a couple of games in the same amount of time but I don’t consider myself better than fans on here.

It's probably possible but I was saying I definitely didn't go to every game despite saying I did. It does not make you or me a better fan at all. It's a pain getting to Storrs and Hartford if you live in Fairfield County and NYC or whatever.
You know whats not difficult? Walking 10 minutes from your dorm to Gamp to watch a basketball game.

In recent years with the teams performance trending down Ollie needed to interact more with the student body to fill more seats in Gampel/XL. Early indications of Hurley lead me to believe he’ll understand the importance of this (getting students to buy back in to the program) in revitalizing our program and selling out games again.

Why is this just about the students? It’s not like Gampel/XL and Rentschler are full minus the student section.

I think what he is saying is....for Gampel games...it is so easy to walk 5 min to go to a game 8 times a year and support the kids on the team. Hopefully it changes this year with Hurley. First game will be packed then it will depend on how we perform.
I just renewed my season tix and I think Hurley is going to demand better play. At URI the hoops games became events the last couple years. He will get Gampel and XL jumping again. I heard student season tix didn’t sell out last year or two for the first time in forever...,,will be interesting to see if kids jump on bandwagon early or if it’s wait and see.
