UConn's George Springer (I think this is baseball related)

As a casual fan, this is the lasting image I have of Judge in the postseason. Is it fair? No, but I grew up a Red Sox fan.

I do appreciate that Judge is at the apex of modern baseball but the guy has to win a World Series to cement his legacy as an all-timer.

The thing that might keep him from the hall of fame discussion (other than some voters won’t vote for the 2017 Astros) is that he didn’t steal bases in Houston. Last 4 years in Toronto he’s been absurdly good (68 steals, 9 caught stealing - and was 18-19 this year with the one CS in the season finale). He had a bad year early on (9 SB, 10 CS) in Houston and never really ran after that. Astros played for big innings with that lineup.

If he was stealing bases all along and was a 300-300 guy with his postseason success batting leadoff, he’d be considered the best of his generation in a specific niche. Instead he’s considered more of a traditional hitter who happens to bat first.
