Can we please, for the love of everything in the universe........have a bonfire somewhere and burn those black uniforms?

I hate them. They aren't UCONN colors. We play terrible in them.

Go UCONN!!!

PS-sorry if this has been discussed, I've been MIA. A pipe in the apartments above my restaurant burst Sunday night. Been a nightmare 4 days for me.

UConn has black uniforms. A few have voiced their dislike.

Agree. The black uniforms are not as complimentary….and are not symbolic of who we like to think we are—the good guys!!!
Ah Come on. The Good Guys can wear too! ;)

Don't like them.... I wouldn't resort to burning them... I'd donate them to some poor families in Micronesia or somewhere.

UConn once donated their unpopular uniforms to UConn Avery Point Huskies

My wife and I are not fans of black uniforms in general. Rutgers sported them a few times, Arizona hasn't. I thought the UConn uniforms were black, but wasn't quite sure on TV.

Now days, the "old school" colors have gone missing - I was watching USF play in their neon green the other day (with their normal green as an accent), some game I was watching the team wasn't in a color I even thought they used and IIRC Duke had some neon blue going.

To each their own.

I think the Black Uniforms were a one time thing for Martin Luther King Day

Anyone who does not like the black unis obviously lost their taste from covid
That’s Nike’s color, not UConn’s. Hope they use them to wipe Oregon’s court.

If the color of black is developed by using equal amounts of orange, red and ultramarine blue it can be a stunning color! Ivory black doesn't hack it. It creates a black hole on TV or a painting. Go back to the color wheel.

I prefer it when the uniforms incorporate the team's traditional colors. Louisville wore yellow uniforms earlier this season and I, along with virtually every other fan who offered an opinion, hated them.

I'm a big proponent of simplicity.
White at home (Gempel, XL and Mohegan Sun)
Blue on the road (Everyplace else)
Obviously they would need more than 2 sets of uniforms for laundry purposes.
How about 2 sets with "Connecticut"instead of UCONN?
Of course if we thought it would help their play, black, yellow, red. purple polka dots, etc. would be acceptable.
:p
:p

Black is my favorite color. The color of my soul I've been told. But never the less, UCONN doesn't seem to perform as well when using Nike's "special" uniforms. I'd rather they just stick with what works.

(Although I imagine the players like having new, unique, different uniforms. And I'm sure it's part of the deal with the Nike sponsorship.)

Loved the man in black.
I loved that series. I've seen every episode. I also like the black uniforms. I've shared this observation the last time this subject was raised. My suggestion was/is to keep the black uniforms. Use them for a home game once a year during the OOC portion of the season, then (after they have been laundered of course) have each player autograph their jersey and put them up for auction to the highest bidder, with the proceeds going to 1-2 local charities. This would be a win-win promotion. This puts/keeps the program's name and presence in the community in a positive manner. The charities benefit as do the buyers of the uniforms. Imagine what Paige and Azzi's uniforms could fetch?

Those uniforms can (if marketed correctly) become a coveted item because fans know they will only see them once a year, and what happens to them afterwards. Replicas of those uniforms should never be sold or made available at souvenir stands during games or on line to fans wanting to purchase them. One of the inducements to bidding on the uniforms is that the winning bidder will have the uniform presented to him/her at half court before a future home game by the player, and have a picture taken with the player of that presentation. Something the winning bidder would cherish forever. I've seen college and pro teams take the court in some ugly/horrible looking uniforms. Those black uniforms aren't that bad. It's a matter of taste and preference.

I like the uniforms but are really black or an extremely dark blue? I remember Meg saying she couldn’t tell if they were blue or black. By the way, this might just be my perception, but has anyone else noticed that red (usually limited to an accent color) has started to appear more? For example, the cheerleaders had red Pom-Poms in a recent game.
