Thinking we beat Yale. After that, I have no idea…
Not sure if Yale win is a sure thing. They have a lot to prove. They beat Army in 2014 and the Yale team may be better this year.

Two wins from the three usual suspects, two of which are FCS. I am quite willing to be convinced otherwise after the first two games, however.

Don’t over rated the2014 Army win. First of all it was 2014. It was at Yale (gives you some sense of where Army was at the time) Army wasn’t too good. And there were a bunch of factors like Army losing there quarterback in the 3rd quarter, it was a huge deal in New Haven.

If we beat Clemson I will strip down naked, paint myself blue and white and post a picture on this board.............not that anyone would want to see that, but I wouldn't be to worried about it.

Please post it on Clemson board.

I assume you are trolling....if not...I have no idea why you are on this board. If I thought this team was going to be that awful this year, I wouldn't bother spending time on a UConn football fan message board.

Fascination. Truly riveting. We really hope for the best, but suspect that something much worse is headed our way. UConn is at a tipping point. Could go either way. First two games will be key. That's when we find out "whether they are on foot or on horseback".

Basketball centric fans are major Debbie downers. UConn will beat Holy Cross, Yale and UMASS. They have good shot at Army, Vanderbilt, MTSU, and Wyoming. Others not likely, but the picture will be clearer after the Fresno game. As I said before defense must be improved. Young team with a year to bulk up to the proper weight and muscle they need, check. Year off from play maybe an issue. I think there hungry and will show positive improvement.

First, love the diversity of this schedule. All types of schools and markets.

Tier 3 Games: Holy Cross, Army, UMass, Yale
Tier 2 Games: Fresno St., Wyoming, Vanderbilt, Middle Tenn St.
Tier 1 Games: Purdue, Clemson, UCF, Houston

The goal is to work our tails off to win the turnover battle for the 4 teams in the Tier 3 Games so we don't have upsets. For us to take 2 of the 4 in the Tier 2 Games because our offense has to come alive. We won't know that until after Fresno St and the team has some games under their belt. If we can get one upset in the Tier 1 Games we should be ecstatic! A 6 win season would be a huge motivator for the team, recruiting and the fan base!

Dream Jobbed is being sarcastic, going along with some dense pundits.

Relax.

Thank you for reaching out. I cheer for and have held season tickets at various points to all major sports at UConn. I don’t have some weird hatred to any teams like you seem to have for basketball. I love UConn football. I want them to win every game they play. I however understand there is one game they have a remote chance in winning this season. This team won two games two years and hasn’t played since. I think a real success will be to force any FBS team they play to punt.

Dream Jobbed, I to am a major supporter of UCONN basketball and attend many games and almost always go to MSG when we play there, I root for UCONN no matter the team. Also a season ticket holder for football and dropped my tickets after the 2018 season for unwatchable play from the team. They were freshman playing against the varsity and totally out classed. They needed a year off to develop to college football players. I believe they now have the physical skill sets needed to compete. Will find out this year if they really are bad players or just not developed. You could very well be correct that they just stink and will never win. I just disagree and think they are ready to show some serious improvement. Now, get your hands out of your pants.

The o/u at most books is 2.5 right now. I see 3 games that we should win, no excuses. A few others that are gettable.

I love what the staff has done on the recruiting trail, but if we can’t beat at least 2 FCS schools and UMass after a year of development we need to tear it all down again.

2 wins - why, based on past performance.
In previous years I got all optimistic between April (when the disappointment from the prior season faded) and July when we are heading into summer practice and anything is possible.

I really want to believe a full season of development will help set the program back on track where we get better stronger faster all across the board. I’ll believe it when I see it. Maybe that helps us pick up a couple of the more winnable games.

My main hope is that this season is a turning point for UConn football so that 1. We don’t $uck on national TV, 2. People besides us acknowledge the the program is going in the right direction, 3. We stay far away from those Bottom 10 polls.

Don't know about how many wins but they need to show that they are much better than Holy Cross.
