UConn vs Yale Game Thread???

The front court is simply awful.

They can block shots, but they don't have a clue on defense and rebounding is just a foreign concept.

Excellent break of full court pressure. Brimah with alley-oop.
Then Shabazz gives Brimah another alley-oop but Brimah doesn't jump, and a short guy blocks his shot.

Samuel needs to come in for Napier--he's been playing nonstop.

Now they're letting up offensive rebounds off missed free throws.

This would be a 30-point game is this team wasn't so incompetent on the boards.

Our frontcourt is underwhelming . Daniels is lazy on defense and settles often. Brimah gets tossed around often. I'd like to see more olander as much as that sounds like a joke

Starting to look like Maryland last 10 minutes again. Stay focused guys and finish.

Anybody know Yale has 20+ offensive rebounds?

They are sending four guys to the offensive glass. Brimah and Facey are both getting shoved around a little and aren't reacting well to the ball, and our 4 guys like DD and Giffey aren't helping. If we grabbed a couple, we'd have a layup line at the other end, since Yale isn't balancing the floor at all.

Advantage is that last year if we gave them up, the other team would score. At least we can block putback attempts this year - consider that progress.

Were would be without SN? When a 6-0 guard is your biggest rebounder by a wide margin you know you are in trouble. I mean I know we are skinny but this is not excusable.

Bazz finds Boat in the corner wide open and you can hear him yelling, "Gimme an assist! Gimme an assist!" Hilarious.

Don't like that he's aware of his stats, but oh well - bigger crimes in life.

AB is a difference maker on defense but one rebound? You can do better than that.

More like he's encouraging his team mate to make the shot than being overly concerned about his stats.

Well, he grabbed the biggest rebound of the season so far, so let's let him have some bad nights while he adjusts to the college game a little. He has technique issues he has to get better at - he needs to work on carving out his space a little in order to be able to go get the ball. He's not making himself big and wide on the low block. Too easy to get him off-balance and just slip by him.

It's Yale. They are taking advantage of what's there. No need for anyone to get aggressive here. I like watching Shabazz and DD hang back to facilitate things for the new players.

Nolan showed some back to the basket moves.

OK, seriously. You did say "It's Yale".

Check out his minutes in the first half and then tell me he was on the bench. He was out there. He was setting picks. No one said you shouldn't play hard. I said no need to get aggressive and take risks.

More seriously, do you play basketball? Rebounding is not risky? You know you feet is off the ground when you jump for the ball?

I know i am wasting my breath here, but these comments are pure idiotic.

It's great that Shabazz is an awesome rebounder from the point guard position, but it's not good when he outrebounds the entire frontcourt 11-5.

UConn should never get trounced on the boards by Yale. Never.

I feel whiny today.

How selfish can you be, Bazz?

11 rebs, 10 assts, 14 points?

He was one assist away from a triple-double. I'm sure he knew it - someone on the bench clearly told him.

Like I said - no great crime, really. Not like he started missing his own layups to get the last couple rebounds or something like that.

They rebound like that against Louisville,Florida,Memphis and IU they'll pay for it!
