Uconn's defense is there. Huskies have to score the basketball.

This game is more SEC Network than ESPN so far.

Tuck almost broke the backboard on that last 3 pt attempt.
Yeah, she went 0-3 in the last 2 minutes with 2 bricks from beyond the arc. Of course Stewie was no better going 3-12 for the half.

Okay, all you folks on that other thread denying that anyone beats UConn.... Stuff happens. And this ain't Notre Dame we're playing.

Now, exactly who's the number one offense here? This game seems a hangover from last game. Bad shots, missed layup, bad shooting decisions. What exactly has turned the brains of UConn's starters?

Besides UConn's defense on Courtney Williams, their defense on the remaining players has kept the game close. USF has only played 5 players. Will they get tired in the 2nd half. UConn shooting 9-32 with at least 4-5 layups missed.

Napheesa has to learn to go right up with the ball after getting a rebound. She tends to attempt a dribble and gets the ball stripped. Freshmen Mistake. Could be getting to the FT line.

I would like to see Kia have the mindset she did in the Canada vs USA Game. She was unstoppable getting to the basket and FT line. Haven't seen that player all year.

We will be ok! Look at this way, as bad as we have played we are only down 1.

UConn 9 for 32 28%, 3 for 10 3 pt. 30%, shooting better from beyond the arc?

I thought USF really bodied up on Stewie at the start of this game and got away with it. The refs let them be physical while we got called for touch fouls.
BUT the bottom line in this game is we are not hitting shots we usually make. We can live with one or even two guys being off, but the whole team seems off. Grind it out can be good sometimes.

BTW : If Courtney Williams played the rest of the basketball world like she plays against UCONN she would be the National player of the year. Every time we play them she scorches us no matter who is guarding her.

I thought she was going to have a big year as well.

Team missed 10 of its last 11 shots. USF missed 15 of last 16. Either team could have a double digit lead if they hit 50 % of their shots during this period.

Problem is, we don't have international rules and refs. She would foul out!

Dear Seniors;
The ceremony wasn't a graduation! Come back to us!

Wouldn't like to see Kia like that every game, but in games like this when shots aren't falling she could be more aggressive.

Once is a bad game. Twice seems a pattern. The starters are bricking the same way they did against Tulane. Except there they had KLS to bail them out. So far not today. Missing easy layups is a matter of concentration. The starters have somehow lost their focus.

What are our chances of winning this game by double digits?
Is that in jeopardy?

Actually, twice in a row could be a flu. There's a nasty one going around right now. Unfortunately, I speak from experience. :(

I think part of it is teams have figured out how to defend, or at least slow down the Huskies offense. Since Temple we've seen the defense just station 3 guys down low which basically neutralizes Tuck and makes it difficult to make the usually easy shots inside. A lot of the stuff we were able to do on offense just a few weeks ago seems hard to come by now.

I think Geno wants Stewie to keep shooting untils she's back in the groove.
