Gotta give some credit to Tulane for taking advantage of the Huskies' fumbling start.

Gabby is everywhere defensively, Stewie missing shots she makes with her eyes closed

After an 8 point first quarter, the Huskies scored 28 for an 16 point halftime lead, 36-20.

One thing, among many, that I love about Tuck's game is that when she gets a high pass in the post, she literally turns, keeps the ball high, and lays it in. It seems like 99% of the post players, even when they are super deep in the post and they get the ball high, they put it on the floor instead of going right up for the layup...

That was a deep 3 by KLS, Geno at half said the last play was drawn up to get Lou a 3, but not from that spot on the floor

You're right about post players and Butler does this too, Geno will hopefully coach that out of her. Now that I think of it, when you watch teams that can't run offense there is a ton of pointless dribbling, and all dribbling does is give the other team a chance to knock it away for a turnover.

Geno praised Gabby for her energy, especially on defense, which helped bring team back. Her defense started team back in the right direction. He said shots just didn't go in and team isn't used to that.

You can see at the end of the half they were looking for KLS - she was still able to score- shoot over the opposition. And Gabby- how often do we hear how well Gabby has played? I really think Nurse's shot is off because she is a bit worn down. Next year we'll be fine.

And I think senior day affected the seniors a lot.

I think Kia is thinking too much about her shooting slump. An important factor in making shots is confidence and Kia's isn't there right now.

This calls for some Boneyard speculation and discussion, so let's gets started early.

First zinger of the day? Wondering if
@Huskies Rule had inside information and played us? Or, maybe he was trying to give us a "sworn to secrecy" peek.

As Sergeant Schultz said- "I know NOTHING!" And by now, it's perfectly clear that, in fact, I knew absolutely nothing. Just the wishful thinking of an overwrought fan.

"Oh my" observations from 1st half:

#1 Nan was right. Tulane got hosed by the refs. I usually bark about bad refs and today is no exception but Tulane is the team getting the short end.

#2 That first quarter was our "homage" to the TENN offense :p

Geno said the last play of the half was designed for KLS to shoot a 3, but not from where she shot it. Probably designed from the corner but they couldn't get her the ball. KLS kept moving to find the opens spot at the top of the key and they got her the ball. KLS doesn't do that 10 games ago. She's really learned to react what's happening on the court and respond accordingly

I would really like to see us set KLS up the second half. Let her really go off on these guys. Let her get 30. She's had great quarters and great halves and then she doesn't shoot again for a quarter. For her confidence for the tournament, give her a chance at a huge game. We'll be better for it. If she misses, so what? We're going to win this game regardless.

#2 is harsh. AT least the team took good shots, just couldn't make them. Lady Vols don't take good shots many times. :)
