UConn vs Texas Post Game Thread...

AK, a sight for sore eyes! He came back with a vengeance and an all-around game, 21pts/11rbs/4dimes.
A great production from center tandem Tarris/Samson, 12 pts a piece. Tarris was also a force in late game.
I liked Diarra play with 11 assists and good defense on Tre Johnson with the exception of the last play in first half.
Ball infusion into offense is great, and also his defense has noticeably improved.

Great road win. Offensive grade: A

The euro offense seemed to be at its best today with the ball movement which gave us a lot of good shots.
The slipping of screens for lobs ( Samson) and layups, good cutting and double high picks that opened up layups or three’s. The execution looked more like last years team than any other game did so far this year.

Singare: He had no statistical production to mention, but he enabled the two bigs to sit for nine minutes in the first half without picking up a third foul, and also allowed Karaban to stay at the four and not have to move to the five. His contribution was enormous.

Great easy road win against a team that doesn't lose at home. UConn fans gonna flood MSG for the Zags on Saturday.

Total team win-
We have a two headed monster at center again if they can just stay out of foul trouble, which remains a major problem. They were both really good when they played. Hass and Karaban were great. Solo was a lot better on D, he drove some first half and he's an absolute sniper from three. Jaylin is still getting the short end of the stick on minutes.

This was the best ball movement and cutting we've had all season and the defense has been much better the past two games.

Karaban was awesome. Diarra was great. Solo's defense was noticeably improved. Singare was far better than I expected when he was coming in today, sneaky huge part of this win by setting up very productive second halves for Johnson and Reed. Think our defense overall was very good - they hit a lot of contested shots in the second half

Huge road win against a good team. Defense was much, much better. Texas got super hot in the 2nd half and kept making tough shots, but the boys kept their poise and got the job done. On to Storrs South for Gonzaga!

Defense stepped up today - holding a good Texas offense to 42/47. Perimeter defense still needs to step-up but much better physical presence as UConn dominated the boards. AK & Reed get the game balls. This win should put us back in the Top 15 - we were 1.5 underdogs. The 3Peat Dream lives on!!

Singare fouled 4 times in 8 minutes, but it looked more like inexperience. I liked the way he moved his feet and slid to cover and then recover on drives. It looks like having the two bigs in foul trouble was manageable.

Karaban played a great all around game 1st time back. Was almost surprised he missed a couple late 3s.

Solo Ball was what we expected at the start of the year. His trajectory will be up from here.

“Two headed monster” is more like a three-barreled Gatling Gun. Just turn the crank and the fouls will flow.
