Singare fouled 4 times in 8 minutes, but it looked more like inexperience. I liked the way he moved his feet and slid to cover and then recover on drives. It looks like having the two bigs in foul trouble was manageable.

Karaban played a great all around game 1st time back. Was almost surprised he missed a couple late 3s.

Solo Ball was what we expected at the start of the year. His trajectory will be up from here.

Great easy road win against a team that doesn't lose at home. UConn fans gonna flood MSG for the Zags on Saturday.

Total team win-
We have a two headed monster at center again if they can just stay out of foul trouble, which remains a major problem. They were both really good when they played. Hass and Karaban were great. Solo was a lot better on D, he drove some first half and he's an absolute sniper from three. Jaylin is still getting the short end of the stick on minutes.

This was the best ball movement and cutting we've had all season and the defense has been much better the past two games.
“Two headed monster” is more like a three-barreled Gatling Gun. Just turn the crank and the fouls will flow.

Karaban was awesome. Diarra was great. Solo's defense was noticeably improved. Singare was far better than I expected when he was coming in today, sneaky huge part of this win by setting up very productive second halves for Johnson and Reed. Think our defense overall was very good - they hit a lot of contested shots in the second half
Totally agree on Singare.

He was solid just due to his height and being more physical than Samson. Singare's one block was basically the Texas player shooting into Singare's raised arms.

I think Danny will be playing him more, just for the obvious fact both Samson and Tarris are foul prone.

Singare: He had no statistical production to mention, but he enabled the two bigs to sit for nine minutes in the first half without picking up a third foul, and also allowed Karaban to stay at the four and not have to move to the five. His contribution was enormous.
Yea his stretch was the hinge point in this game.

Couldn’t see the game being out of the country but that box score is singing to me. Diarra 11 assists, team 21? Destroyed them on the boards? Karaban’s numbers were big. 2 very important wins give the team confidence and momentum.

Yeah ball did a lot better job on D. He must of been scolded. Even Mahaney was alright on d. Still mad that Ball doesn't keep up his arms when guarding. Props to Diarra playing some great D and being a top notch PG. Glad we have him but hopefully Nowell when healthy will be our PG.

That first half was a thing of beauty. Offense was poetry in motion and the defense looked tough. Then decent second half to withstand the barrage from Johnson and hold on for, all things considered, was a not-that-close win.

Reports of our demise were valid given the amount of evidence - but also greatly exaggerated! Pumped for the Zags game, and I’m sure Hurley will have them primed.

Great win, not gonna get upset about the 2nd half, a decent team isn't just gonna lay down and accept a 25-30pt asswhooping at home. Even last year's team coughed up a big lead to TX on a quasi home court at MSG last season. Have alot more confidence heading into MSG now vs Gonzaga when it was looking grim a week ago.

Im really glad the majority of our games aren’t on ESPN, not a fan of their production
Some of the worst camera work I've ever seen above the high school level. Lost the ball in the half court at least a dozen times. Plus the audio mixing was terrible and the possession arrow was apparently wrong 80% of the second half. Not to mention their propensity to show anything but the game as balls are being inbounded

That’s more like. Offense was reminiscent of last year with the constant movement and passing. Highlights:
Hassan with 11 assists;
Ball mixed in a couple really nice drives;
Liam with 9 rebs;
Alex played like an AA;
Bigs were a combined 12/15 from the floor.

We need Tyler Phommachanh continue playing Singare. He will be important to the teams depth at preventing foul trouble at center for Johnson and Reed.

I had to use the app, YT wouldn't even let me watch it. Picture quality kept varying.

Much better! That's more like the UConn we expect to see, defense was a clear improvement and I think if they keep it going anything is possible. Can't wait for the Gonzaga game. Forget Maui and look forward y'all because I still got enough Kool-Aid for everyone :D

Holy cow, that kid Tre Johnson is GOOD. Like dayum, son. Nice to see our guys have some pretty solid games, I was surprised to see Singare in and hold his own enough to eat up ~8mins of clock.

Well said.

Our play kept the the fans sitting on their hands with closed mouths but it seemed like the crowd noise was muted at times by the telecast.

People are trying hard to ignore Solo's 3-pt shooting, as though it makes him a one trick pony.

But of course it's something this team sorely needs.
He's been really bad on defense up until today and we want more out of him but the board has been way too harsh with him. He's averaging 13 ppg and shooting 46% from three on the season, he's already hit a lot of clutch ones. He averaged 3.3 ppg on 32% from three last season.

Zzz no fou trouble this team can hang with any body, thats a big if. But its the biggest weakness. Fouls are the only mistakes Samson and Reed make. Erase fouls and we have best center rotation in the country again.

Team played very well against a decent team. UConn had a lot of very easy shots, and Texas had to hit a lot of very difficult shots. I have watched Texas in other games, and Johnson doesn't always hit all those circus shots. His selfish play also reduces everyone else's shooting percentage because they don't get their shots in the rhythm of the offense.

UConn is still very tough to beat when the offense plays like this. Defense still needs some work. Same problems with team defense and rotations. The P&R defense is pretty bad.
