Mahaney when someone presses up on him he really struggles. Baylor guards gave him some breathing room, Texas did not. He just can't run the offense as a PG. He is a natural 2 guard who should be running off screens.

With Nowell out I expect Diarra to play 30 plus minutes. His feel for the offense is getting better and better. He's a natural PG and Mahaney isn't.

Samson & Tarris played the whole 2nd half and only committed 2 fouls between the two of them. That’s the non-pessimistic thoughtful take

The problem is Mahaney is having issues handling the ball under pressure and isn't really allow the offense to move the ball. When Diarra is in the offense moves a lot crisper.

I may be biases but a few of us in our section thought Mahaney’s jersey would be shredded.

Those guards clearly pulled on his jersey and had 2 hands on him more than somewhat.

The refs were light on contact both ways. Diarra was able to throw a dude down and not get called and we figured yeah, for all the cheap shots he gets one.

Sometimes it was easy crossing half court with AK or Ross and even Ball was capable when no press was there. Other times it was white on rice.

He will be 2 through 5. Harper and Dylan are better overall but neither of them are better scorers.

I assume you mean Harper and Bailey? And you are correct. However, a lot will depend on the team drafting. I don't see him as necessarily BPA over the other four (and Flagg) is all. Top six though and could be anywhere from 2-6.

The only way I see Singare getting any time will be if both of our centers continue to pick up a whole bunch more silly fouls. He had 5 to give and he used up almost all of them in the first half.

That is 100% all we need from him this season. Competent defense and rebounding from his break glass in case of emergency role.

I'm gonna make a prediction that there will be a "Singare Game" this season where he comes up huge in a game and actually makes a difference in the outcome. And I hope to god it's because he plays so well in practice he gets a shot at some real minutes and not because we lost 1 or both of our bigs. Lol

Tonight may have been the Singare game! Though Samson had to go down for him to get his minutes. =/
