UConn vs So Carolina game thread

Now they’re trying to deny the ball to Wilson but Z fouled instead.

8-point lead after 1Q. Not bad, though the shooting has cooled off.

.-.
This is what I feared. Wilson fouling out the frontcourt. I look for Meg to come in when Wilson sits.

It would be nice if the crew told us who fouled and what foul totals were. The banter is nice but call the game first.

Dream on.

Are we complaining about the refs already? I actually thought Z fouled. She was out of position.

The minute Azura' tries to lay a body of Aj'a the Refs are calling a foul. They are't letting her get away with what for most of the game has been not been called on any other player either UConn or So Carolina's.

.-.
Are we complaining about the refs already guys? Let me repeat my mantra. Any team sufficiently good enough should be able to overcome any and all bad calls. The game shouldn't be close enough to come down to calls. A team should be able to adapt to how the refs call a game. All teams should expect hometown calls. If you lose, it ain't the refs.

Got to protect ESPN's NPOY (as they keep shoving down everyone's throat).

Disagree. If you aren't allowed to defend legally due to the calls, then it's on the refs.

Azura Stevens is neing called "Z" ?

Its like calling Stewie "T".

That’s the way, Kia. Meg Culmo always said, go hard to the hoop and good things will happen.

UConn's up 8 so this isn't a losing complaint. At least two of the foul calls in Wilson's favor were awful. Then we get to hear that Collier fouled out last year against South Carolina. Know why? That embarrassing charge called on her--against Wilson of course--on an attempted 3-pt play.

Is Wilson going to play 40 tonight?

.-.
UConn doing business on O and Dee.
