Very nice. The thing that bugs me about Las Vegas lodging is that "resort fee". I was booking a Las Vegas stay last year through booking.com at a good price and then the final payment step added that resort fee. It doubled what booking.com originally displayed. I'm not aware of any other locations that add that type of fee at such a high percentage.Just reserved a room the the NYNY Casino right near the TMobile arena. $50 a night +$45 a day "resort fee" Still pretty much a bargain.
I actually respectfully disagree. I think a lot of the college basketball world is starting to recognize they are a has-been (they haven't even been in a final four since we ended their hopes in 2014). I think some of their fans are realizing that and that's why they are so desperate and crazy. I don't want to give them oxygen by putting them on the same stage as a powerhouse operating at the highest level like we are. Let them die.doesn't matter, they're still Kentucky and you schedule them
(crazy thought: play the game in Connecticut).
i doubt it.This has to be Shy-er's idea. But it's so idiotic for 2 premier East coast teams to play in West coast.

Interesting that no one has found this post offensive……personally I think it is hilarious for someone like me who has no idea who he is or if he has any inside connection with the team….but just that whole mystery and his overall penchant for blaming officiating for every loss, adds to the humor for me as I get the image of him as pictured, arguing with refs that image makes me smile.Finally. Candid shot of Chief out looking for some briefs.....😎
Savvy scheduling by Duke...they have the leverage and can dictate locations...if UConn said no to Vegas then Duke would have scheduled Kansas (for example) in VegasI think it's stupid that we're going to Vegas when Michigan is playing then at MSG...
But that's perfect marketing!
I’m seeing some good hotel/flight deals, what’s a normal ticket cost for these types of deals
For openers, it appears that Duke is attempting to become the men's basketball version of what ND football was (and believes it still is).I think it's stupid that we're going to Vegas when Michigan is playing then at MSG...

Heard we are making good $$$ for this game. More than last year's OOC matchups. For openers, it appears that Duke is attempting to become the men's basketball version of what ND football was (and believes it still is).
I'm wondering if we could get a deal with Amazon. We could make a very legitimate case as being one of a very short list of top brands in the sport. We can even include the women's program.
I have no complaint with neutral site games, even at a distance like Vegas, but we also need to maintain a presence in NYC, improve our presence in Boston and not neglect our fan base (ensure a quality home schedule for both venues).
They don’t want to be the road team in a neutral venue. They could have played us in NYC, Michigan in Detroit and zags in Vegas. They did it purposefullyI think it's stupid that we're going to Vegas when Michigan is playing then at MSG...

On Prime. Yuck. I will have to use a free trial to get it for this game.
prime has become less and less a value over the years.you dont have amazon prime for deliveries? Lol

Disney maybe. But I'm in Boston everyday and I've been to NYC a lot. Not even close to the same as Vegas taking your money.Same story could be told about NYC, Boston and Disney (smile)
Yep. But as a degenerate gambler (not really) I have COMP rooms through Caesars Rewards - usually stay at The Cromwell, now it's a Vanderpump Hotel & Casino, should have some good rates / free rooms. If you have CR look there first.Very nice. The thing that bugs me about Las Vegas lodging is that "resort fee". North of 500k. Not sure what the exact amount is.Duke is making millions and we get 500k. Article says this will give them massive NIL opportunities too.
Boomer humor isn’t funny babeIt was a joke, dork.
I don't have Caesar Rewards but an old dormmate from UConn works in a Las Vegas Casino. I will have the benefit of his advice and potential comps.Yep. Seriously? So getting a chance to play a fellow blue blood on a neutral floor, make north of 500k, is "not a good thing?"This is not a good thing. They get all the money win or lose. We are left with the crumbs and have to compete with them. Thank goodness coaching is so important in college basketball.
