You’re kidding right. Have you seen the facilities in the BIG and SEC. Play in front of large crowds. UConn facility is a high school gym.
No, I'm not kidding in the least. UConn has a dedicated volleyball facility rather than just playing in the basketball arena. Which team in the BIG or the SEC has dedicated volleyball facilities that you believe are better?

If you think UConn can compete against SEC and BIG teams I have a bridge to sell you. Maybe at least win the Big East first. Does UConn even offer NIL to volleyball players?UConn needs to increase NIL on football. Stop wasting money on these sports that do not help UConn get into P4 conference.

Lol, so you can't name even one that's better. I didn't think so.

To be fair, a number of schools have dedicated VB facilities separate from the basketball arena. Nebraska's Devaney Center and Texas's Gregory Gym are two of the best known.

The Devaney Center isn't a dedicated volleyball facility I believe they host a half dozen different sports there. Similarly, Gregory Gym also hosts Rec sports. I'm sure both are very nice multi sport facilities, but they aren't dedicated volleyball facilities.

You have to think the new volleyball facilities are among the best in the country. if that is correct, that should help in recruiting.
That is not correct but it probably can't hurt

Can you think of any other dedicated volleyball facilities that are better?

I know you are trying to thread the needle w/ dedicated to volleyball only but there are a few multipurpose facilities on campuses where volleyball is the primary tenant but share w/ say wrestling and other campus functions. I think the Maturi Pavilion @ Minnesota fits that bill.

The UConn Volleyball Center is very cool and most appreciated by the team and hopefully becomes a difficult place to play for visitors.

If by "thread a needle" you mean highlight the fact that Connecticut has a dedicated facility for volleyball, you are correct. There is a difference between having your own dedicated facility and sharing a facility with a bunch of teams. It expresses a level of commitment and respect by the university that most other universities can't match. That may be attractive to potential recruits.

The poster who suggested that our facility was somehow lacking compared to Big 10 or SEC facilities was uninformed about our facility.

Nice red herring. The discussion was about the new facilities helping to improve recruiting. There may have been some hyperbole about best facilities in the nation - though even that was speculative. I don't believe competing with SEC and B1G teams was mentioned anywhere.

If we win, do we host? Seems like a very fast turnaround for the semis. We have a higher RPI than Bowling Green in the next round.

I have no idea what PSU attendance is for women's volleyball vs men's hoops, but I don't think I'm completely off-base in thinking it's possible that volleyball can bring in more revenue down the road.

Volleyball is clearly the #2 women's sport currently, with a real chance to be #1. The largest attendance game ever played at Nebraska's Memorial (football) Stadium was a volleyball game with 92,000 fans. In certain places it's an absolutely huge deal and something we should strive to continue to improve at.

Volleyball is ascending and is IMO one of the most enjoyable sports to watch. Fast paced, tons of opportunities for exciting plays, the players show emotion, a 5th set is as tense as it gets. The Big Ten is the powerhouse in the sport, so much talent and support from a number of the programs.

Nebraska volleyball is a profit generator for the athletic program, one of the few in the country like UConn women's basketball. I got my mom a piece of the court used for the game at Memorial Stadium for Christmas last year and it is probably going to be impossible to top that gift. Theres a new pro volleyball league and Omaha had 10k attendance per game. Nebraska is crazy about the sport.

Creighton is all in on volleyball, won the conference regular season 11 years in a row and won the conference tournament 10 of 11 years. This was Creighton's best shot at the title yet and unfortunately came up short against Penn State in 5 sets in the regional final. Creighton lost 3 times this year all of them went to the 5th set and all 3 losses were against Final Four teams on the road.

The Jays program is not UConn basketball, but they have some of the same problems when it comes to the conference competition. Outside of Marquette the rest of the conference has frankly not been competitive. Would love to have a few more programs including UConn to help raise the profile of the conference. It will really help Creighton and Marquette to continue to get opportunities to host tournament rounds and obviously help other programs join as at large bids.
